Well i have a floppy drive but in the pins on the plug one is blocked...the 2'nd one...the plug on my motherboard has the third one blocked.....what do i do
People that need to maintain older system upgrades need the floppy to update the system BIOS for troubleshooting newer device installs where a USB update fails in older motherboards circa 2004.
4 some reason, i need to insert the cable in backwards for my computer (actual computer, not windows)to recognise the drive. then, if i put in a disk, it says "please insert a disk into drive A", when there IS a disk. if i put it in normal, windows recongnizes it, but when i try to open floppy drive, i get the error beep from my floppy drive, and the same insert disk error. HELP!!!
my pc discovers the floppy drive, but it wont read the floppy, it just aasks me to re formate it, and when i try that it just says it cant be formated. help?
Thank you so much for this video post. You really pointed out the correct orientation of the data cable and it really helped me. I probably connected the ribbon cable in the wrong orientation that's why light stays on forever. THANKS!!!!!!
this video was really help full 9/10 i had no clue and was damagaing my computer before i didnt no how to , but can you also include more information about the bird connector on my computer i got like 3 of them and im not sure wich one is used to conect
Computers generally only have 2 Berg connectors since they only support 2 floppy disks. Did you mean Molex connectors? Any device that uses a Molex connector can be plugged into any Molex connector. So if you have 4 Molex connectors and 4 devices that use a Molex connector, you can plug any device into any connector. There is no specific connector for a specific device. They are interchangeable.

Who uses floppy this days? Just asking? Any alternative use for the floppy slot? Can we use that port as additional USB port?
