Why I Hate Comcast (and Headline News)

I hate Comcast as much as anyone. I've spent many hours with them on the phone & in my yard & home with them the past 4 days. But they didn't short you much in this situation. In retro you would have just taped over this one anyway. Obama is the biggest joke played on the American people since I've been around.

This is really annoying cause I always miss the last section of HLN and even complained to Comcast's South Florida Vice President (a Mr Crooks, and he seemed powerless to do anything about it. I didnt know it's been going on for so long.

well comcast just updated my cable box and when it finnally turns on just in the nick of time to miss my favorite shows it RUINED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. Other cable providers to the same thing depending on the provider. I remember being at a hotel in New York that it happen every :25 and :55 per hour on HLN. I think HLN should had an agreement with the providers on covering the full speech. Honestly I think HLN should rid of local editions and Comcast news. It was OK well HLN was during the wheel format 24/7 but since they do original programming they need to stop doing the local edition and Comcast news.

So Comcast just jammed their own lil' custom news special or commercial in the middle of it? Weird. Have they ever shown that special at that time of day or was this a special event for them?

Comcast Newsmakers one-minute specials always break in on Headline News at fairly regular intervals. Usually, though, these breaks are timed to play in the pre-planned commercial breaks, and not to cut across live footage Compounding this is how Headline News cut to a commercial, although whether HLN did so initially and Comcast took advantage of it by putting its program on, or if the local Newsmakers just automatically pre-empted the speech and HLN followed suit nationally is unclear.

At best, someone didn't pay attention and let this stuff roll along its prescheduled time. At worst, this could be like that Super Bowl XLIII stunt in Arizona. It's still infuriating either way.

I'm sure they'll be repeating the speech a million times and it's all over the internet so I can't see the problem, anyone wanting to watch the full speech could turn to CNN, ABC, Fox or NBC and you can still get your recording.
