'Lukka chhupi' is my most favourite in the film Rang de basanti.It is a soulful,sensuous,heavenly and mellifluous spirit-souring song that soothes the heart.I consider the two persons who have given voice to this song are divine and idolatrous personifications of Music-a Sanctimonious 'Saraswathi'-Bharath ratna,Lata Mangeshkarji and her blissful,mesmerizing son of Music-A.R.Rahman.

This song required that feel and tremor which a mother would have when she sang. What were you expecting? Jugalbandi? Moreover, at Lata's age, most women have trouble talking. And for your info, most of the newcomers too have to have their voice given digital effects to sound nice. Lataji is legend.
