  • I WANT THAT !!!!! , can u make a video with tips how to breed them ??

  • awwwwwwwwwwwww how cute are panda corys im wantin sum for my tank

  • awww they look so cute

  • ah, there cute! Are pandas easy to breed?

  • I love panda corys...I have five in my 20 gallon, and they're spawning like crazy! I even found a tiny little panda fry today, but he vanished before I could scoop him out.

  • You'll love them however the pandas stay small. FYI, all cories actually prefer to be in groups of 5 or more and in their own species. They all need soft substrate too so their mustaches don't get injured in their search for food. Enjoy!

  • 100% true...they look way better in even larger groups and their individual personalities are easier to see.

  • Do you know how do change gravel for sand in an aquarium without affecting the beneficial bacteria?

  • I was actually wondering this myself. Did you ever go through with that?

  • half at a time. If the tank is relatively new and has good filtration it shouldnt matter much, in tanks without filters (dont.) its more crucial

About species: Corys will interact with other species but will happier and more active with 6+ of their own species, mix and matching doesnt work quite as well.

To the OP: Nice tank and pandas!

  • @yomero1978 Yes.

    1. Purchase sand that is approriate for aquarium and wont hurt the bristles.

    2. Dump sand into bucket. Rinse multiple times to get out the stuff that floats. Do this one more time even after you don't see anything flaoting.

    3. Add the sand, and if you want mix in some of the old gravel to help colonize the sand.

This is how I do it in my community tank. I have 12 cories. Bacteria only grows on the surfaces of objects, so include as much of the old decorations as possible.

  • Beautiful!

  • so cutee!

  • i bought a school of little (less than 1 inch) paleatus a while ago, and they may beign to breed in a few months. did you make any special preparations like lowering the water level or reducing temperature? what's your pH and temp? i'd like to see mine breed, but they're in a well planted amazon community tank with tetras and a ram, and i don't want to move them or alter anything too drastically. thanks.

  • Temp usually around 77 a little less after water change. pH 6.5 and no other fish that could feed on the eggs. Save eggs by gently rolling off onto your finger and putting them in the breeders net to hatch. Java moss will provide first food. After that you can feed crushed spirulina wafer and bbs.

  • thanks man.

  • thats AWESOME! i have 1 cory and i had another one. just looking at this makes me want to breed corys :)

  • awwh! they must be teeny tiny! gorgeous.

  • How sweet! Can I ask: How big is the tank, how many fry do you have, and how many adults do you have? I'm just wondering.

    Good luck with the fry.

  • aww thats cool how do you breed corys i have 4 of them
