I try to put myself in the position of the listener when I sing something...and I just don't care for songs where the singer is not singing with passion or conviction. I want the performer to make me FEEL something.

I guess that, as a lead guitarist, I am sort of more inclined in that direction than a lot of other singer/songwriters on here...but I try to keep the guitar work tasteful and in the context of the song. I think that too much musicianship can sometimes bury the message in a tune and even make people forget what a song is all about.

I am so glad you admire my writing. Yes, I am certainly going to keep it up.
