Fun fact: Rock in Rio and Death on the Road video DVD's were edited by Harris himself. He didn't like how the editing guys originally did it , so he learned to use video editing software and made it in a couple of weeks. And he's awesome!

I like Paul doing this song in 1980, and I like Bruce doing it in 2001. It is not like Bruce magically erased all of Paul's recording when he started singing the song. I love the way Paul sang it then (which I listen to often) and I love the way Bruce sings it now (which again I listen to often).

@birdprowess Fender Precision! Steve Harris has had the one in this video since the mid 70's, it's been on every Maiden album and every tour. And also, a big part of his sound are his signature flatwound rotosound strings (he uses a fresh set of strings every single show). The best bass tone in the world in my opinion, and of course, the best player (and songwriter). Steve Harris is a genius!
