The congress has the authority to make law as well as repeal law. The government also funds all kinds of research. Too many programs to mention here with only 500 characters. I am touched by the compassion Mike Rogers has for the health insurance corporations who are making obscene record profits this year while Americans are losing health insurance at the rate of 14,000 per day. Having cancer int he past did not keep him from selling his soul to the devil. They are spending 1.4 mil per day to stop reform. How much of it did Rogers get?

Mike Rogers is shameless in saying, the new health care system coming will provide disincentives. Current insurance companies have great incentive to deny care.

GuitarSpeller, You are the liar here. You have no idea how bad it will be when government mandates who and what gets treated and how much.

I can tell you from personal experience that it is a plain fact that health insurers' decisions can be successfully challenged if they deny care.

Good luck to you, if & when you ever have to challenge the government on whether you might receive treatment you believe you're due.

I agree, I know what it looks like to live in a country where the government runs healthcare, I lived in one for a long time, and believe me, having the gov't decide who lives and who dies is an absolute disaster because its still the rich who get served first, even under socialized medicine, which is supposedly the opposite of what they want to happen.

This is sad.... This goverment ought to be able to offer an affordable heath insurance plan for all US citizen's! I'm a White male with no insurance. I 've needed heath care. I havent been to a doctor in 12 yrs.. I get denied public assitance in NC! I grew up watching minorities ,Primarly coloreds and mexican's get all their basic need's gave to them. These day's I see those people living in federally financed habitat home's and hud house's. Basically living the good life! The system is broke!

Maybe you can see this story million's of American's are telling! We pay taxes to help the Economically/Ethenically challenged and we get turned away.....

Maybe you should give heath insurance to all citizen's that pay into the system!

Instead of reversing the overall princilple's of our society!
