The kid's 13, maybe 14. One person calling him a fag could have sent him on an emotional downhill and he thinks the whole school is against him. He's a child and I don't think he's making this up. We seem to think that if a boy had been depressed for any amount of time he shouldn't recover or he's faking.
My 15 yr old son used to cut himself. it took a lot of work to figure out what cutting made him feel. He felt out of control, he didn't see anything worth living for, even the people he loved he didn't want to leave. The pain of cutting was a relief to the mental & emotional anguish he was feeling. With much work, love, support, & accountability we have created a system to work through his depression. But that's not saying it's gone. Teen depression is real & triggered & manifested in many ways.

Its not fake. When he said that video was a lie he meant that his life got better, everything had changed and gotten so much better for him. It wasn't a lie, he'd be dead right now if it wasn't for something keeping him strong. When he posted the next video saying it was a lie, he meant that he no longer feels that pain and he wants to express that everything he said in that video no longer bothers him.

For me and others that I have talked to about it cutting in our minds is the ONLY pain that we can control.

Its not fake. When he said that video was a lie he meant that his life got better, everything had changed and gotten so much better for him. It wasn't a lie, he'd be dead right now if it wasn't for something keeping him strong. When he posted the next video saying it was a lie, he meant that he no longer feels that pain and he wants to express that everything he said in that video no longer bothers him.

I myself have seen the video you talked about, I saw it when a friend of mine shared it on FB. I cryed the intire time. I am a member of many LGBT groups and every time I hear that some one is being bullyed in any way bc of there sexual orintaion or has lost there life bc of the the same I cry.
