Not a gut shot, It was a lil' small, it had 3 points on one side and 4 on the other. I skipped last years hunt there. Later that year I shot 2 doe and let 4 more walk by. 3 doe and 1 buck that had a good 8, that was about tha same size. I am hoping we've got all the jean pool strait. If not I'll keep shootin ones like that till I do.

I grew up in an area where there were loads of deer. I've seen what happens when the groups get to large. They get malnourished. It's sad to see them suffer like that. Hunting provides a balance, so the ones that do survive, live well.

That deer wouldn't have a chance in Alabama. Just a couple of years ago they passed a law that allows a hunter to harvest only three bucks per year with one having to have at least four points on one side. It use to be one buck every day during the season that runs from Oct-Jan 31st. Now you can shoot two does everyday.

That's not a perfect shot. It's in the top of the lungs. The shot should be just by the elbow.

Doe Buck it does not matter they all taste the same and eating them help control the population. First day of shotgun season this year i dropped 2 doe and a button buck at 55 yards with my scoped benelli m1 super 90 in harford county maryland, And o do they taste great.
