Anyone getting one of Blades heli models, I recommend getting the CNC upgrades. I noticed that the screws strip out on the plastics and the snap ons come off easier on original parts, but with the metal replacements it all stays snug. And for sure going with their micro lines (mcx or msr) will prove to be much more crash resistant.
That ldidnt look good. Reminds me when i tried to max the cx3 to its highest altitude i got it about maybe 98 ft until i lost the signal and it came down and wham! i broke the battery box and landing gear. I looked again and i noticed i broke the outer rotor shaft but she's good as new.
Today I tried to fly an RC Helicopter first time, (I got Blade CX2 as a present) and when I was trying to hover, I got a little too high, then to go down, I pushed the throttle higher instead of lower, hit the ceiling, hit the table, hit the ceiling again, and finally hit the ground. At the end I realized that 2 minor parts (1 on the upper and one on the lower rotor) got chopped off. I tried to fly it again, and there was no problem. I'll try to order new rotors if they send it here (Turkey).
You know what is a REALLY great helicopter trainer is the Blade MCX. It is smaller and might look like a toy, but that crash would have done nothing to hte MCX and it's batteries are cheaper, they charge faster, and parts are cheaper. Maybe get one of those, they are TONS of fun!!!
check the manual it tells you how to adjust the transmitter to get rid of drifting.
or you may be using the wrong control, are you using the thottle stick? because by moving that left and right it spins the copter.
And you can easily go buy new parts / props at the hobby shop at which you got your blade cx2. Thats one good thing about this copter, parts are easy to get a hold of.
These are soo much fun... Ive broken so many blades though I cant even tell you. How cool is it to have a mini helicopter flying in your house though... It even sounds like it.
way better than me i crashed mine from 30 the 40 and final 50-60 feet in the air out side it was funny all i broke on the highest drop was 2 blades and one side of the landing gear
i lost sight of it the wind caught it so i just cut power to zero and let her drop
if i get the chance to buy one of these ill make them give it a test flight right in the shop. if sumthings wrong with it i kno that i can just swap it for a working one
the blade cx 2 is the best heli. my ultimatives tuning is perfekt 11.1v, 15a special koax booster,se 180 ,40% more power.under blade cx2 tunning. this my old blade she new blade (eagle) on my chanel!!
Buy a two rotor helicopter if you want a toy. they dont fly like a helicopter, they fly like toys. most people buy helicopters to enjoy the flight dynamics that tailrotor based craft posess. These little things are alot of fun, i have two myself, but they are nothing like a tailrotor craft, and learning one of these will not teach you near anything when your ready to move up to a real chopper.
I agree with wheeler. I struggled for months with simulators, and my "real" heli and was frustrated enough I considered giving up the sport. The CX2 I picked up quickly, and then when I moved back up to my "real" heli orientation and stick control were second nature, and I had no problem moving up. I think starting with a coaxial heli is the best move someone could make.
I've had a CX2 for 5 months and done alot of mods to it and everything and if it doesn't teach you anything then why am i a heaps better pilot than when i started.
yes i went up to a 6ch obviusly with a tail rotor and litteratly in the first five seconds i crashed it, coz i moved on from this and didnt no how it worked
A dual rotor copter like this is actually pretty easy to learn on because when they are setup correctly you should have to apply little to no correction to keep the tail in place. I bought my CX2 last year for $180. Don't buy them used...buy new so you know that they are going to work properly. Eventually you can go to a copter with a tail rotor when you are comfortable with a dual rotor setup. These things are a blast!
Yeh, the battery was fully charged, but i fixed my problem, all i had to do was fiddle and tighten the outer shaft retaining collar and the inner shalf retaining collar.
Hi i bought a Blade CX2 yesterday and today on my 8th flight i was landing on the small end of the blade cx2 box and i slid off the back of it and slammed into the ground and when i put it back out in the middle of the room and went to take off it make a weird noise and the bottom blade wasnt turning very fast and the heli was spinning counter-clockeise very quickly and it would not take off, does anyone know how i could fix this problem? Thanks.
The way the helicopter turns left or right is by slowing down the blade(either top or bottom), the reason It's spinning out of control is because of the gears, something is wrong, and one gear isn't moving fast enough to keep up with the other one. I very much doubt it's your battery because one blade is going fine.
The gears were mashing fine, the problem was the outer shaft retaining collar and the inner shaft retaining collar, once i tightened them it was fine. Ive balenced and trimmed my stock cx2 out so well that i can take my hands of the transmitter for 20 seconds and it will just keep hovering or slowing moving to a side from wind drafts.
nice flying, and yes u can fly inside, if u get it right trimmed and if u learned how to fly it, ull be able to do it without any probs, and ye, was bad luck that crash :D again 2$ gone hehe, keep *flying*

ha ha still beats my flying. I just bought a cx2 a week ago and I love it. have to go to the hobby shop every day since then for replacement parts ha.!! luckily they are inexspensive
Don't worry!!! One day you will learn how to fly properly and not crash into lamps!!! Keep up the good effort and the heli away from your face because in future posts you will be noseless..
it looks like you just went too wide in that turn and hit the lamp. also, with the 2.4ghz radio i think you leave the antenna on the transmitter pointing up. if you point it directly at the helicopter you lose signal integrity. it should be perpendicular to the radio, not parallel.
I've got one and it's the best thing i've bought in ages, it's so much fun and they're great quality and very easy to fly. Parts are cheap, i doubt this crash would have cost more than 15 bucks to fix
Thanks Andrew, Sounds like I should go ahead with the CX2. nice vid and great control. That's a minor crash, just order more blades from E flight.
You know this of course, just general info:
Most important thing is to chop the power when blade strikes to save the ESC part.
I'm making a crash kit for work, I take a smoke break, go outside and fly instead. If they ask, I say I'm smoking a couple brushless motors.
Just learning to fly in a little wind. Good fun!

Thanks. Yeah, I also have a Walkera 5#4 & a Picco Z. I love these little critters! Many, many moons ago (over 16 years ago!), I use to fly conventional RC helis (i.e. Xcell 60/Hirobo Storks). -R
