...Seal training isnt really badass in the NSCC some guys dont even wear the crest beacuse they dont want to or just like in the army you dont wear your granade badge beacuse its stupid....
@smellmyclock What im saying being in the NSCC, Seal training isnt looked as a ''Badass'' Training....
EOD or STW stuff like that maybe something like..... (Not physically demanding) But i can ask you something.... Are you in the USCG, USN, NSCC? Or do you just play XBOX all day?
I gotta say, I guess you Navy Cadets actually do stuff. As an Air Force Cadet, I tend to focus more on Search and Rescue training, but we do have courses similar to this. Semper Vigilans.
I'm signing up on the Sea Cadets in Puerto Rico the 16th and I'm thrilled to do all sorts of things such as this. My goal is definitely to become a Navy SEAL. HOOYAH!
Getting into excelled advanced trainings such as JSOC, SWCC, SEAL, and EOD is extremely rigorous and competetive. I'm a Chief Petty Officer currently with the Mahan Division out of Schenectady, New York. I've seen people denied at higher rank trying to get into these trainings. I've also seen lower ranking cadets get accepted. It's a matter on how bad you want it, and how far you're willing to go to get into these types of trainings.
you won't be denied, but rank and better qualified cadets take president over it. Since you are only an E-3 and only have 12 months and their is a cadet whoes as PO3 and been in for 18 months the PO3 will moslikely get it if he/she is better qualified in other aspects. So yes, they will give rank priority, but if that person isn't qualified they yull get it.
Hey, Im a cadet. I want to go this summer but the dates aren't posted yet. Does any one know when this it is being held this summer or when it was previous held? Also, my LPO said that its almost impossible to get into because of all the applicants. Im only an E-3, with only a year as a sea cadet, am I going to be denied because of that?
@xpaullettax No they wouldn't it is accually on a first come serve basis, but this year there will be no SEAL training ( the COTC deployed) I would check next year, good luck, hopefully will see you here.
I want to do this training so bad but they hardly ever have openings during the summer

If I don't know how to swim but wish to take the SEAL class will they teach me how to swim or do I have to learn on my own?
GP3PocketSnare 4 months ago
@GP3PocketSnare I'd strongly advise learning to swim before-hand. I have yet to take to take this particular course though. Have you gone to RT yet?
mitchellsayshi 4 months ago
@mitchellsayshi Haven't even joined yet, but I was just worried that I might not be able to take part in a lot of the classes be cause I can't swim.
GP3PocketSnare 4 months ago
@GP3PocketSnare A lot of people couldn't swim at my RT but they were taught. You should be fine.

@BeAStiiAliTY It was part of the range qualification day, the COTC has a couple of AKs, so they used them along with other wepon systems.
