A few major glitches seem to have been fixed with firmware version 1.05 -June 2010 (download on Sony website). I understand that the unit comes with version 1.01. It appears that there had been earlier updates. Not sure if the full iphone compatibility issues have been fixed in 1.05. That seems to be very important to most and also compatibility with iPhone 4.
You have to select iPod from the Home screen on the dream machine. Simple fix. The dream machine is too stupid to know what you want to do. Just tell it.
i got dis da otha day.....its kinda sht.......i pluged my usb...to try and tranfer pics....but it doesnt detect it....wtf......waste of money
