I have one, but when I turn it on it makes sound, but it is very quiet and sometimes distorted, what do you think is wrong? the caps?

If it has capacitors made of paper and wax, they should be replaced or the may short.
I would say the electrolytic capacitors should be replaced but if there isn't a lot of hum maybe they are ok.

@AD5DU I'm still using oil caps on mine (a '51 Westnghouse), and I have not any faults. In fact, it is amplifying this video as I type.
