Hey there, the compassionate response - 'suffering with' and truly feeling for for Jesus (and all others who suffer) I think, is a deeply appropriate response. Thank you for you comments
This is painful to watch yet there are still elements of the crucifixion that have been left out. What Seneca, Justin Martyr, Iraneus and Tertulian have to say will horrify you. And Pliny the Elder stated that hyssop was used as a topical analgesic for all manner of cuts, bruises and pains, including anal injuries. Yeah. Painful is right: ouch!.
A labour of love! It is through meditation of the Passion of Our Lord that we can truly be led by grace to true contrition of sins, a hatred of evil and strength to never offend Our God again. This video is here because the one who uploaded it loves God, hence a labour of love, and love should never be scorned or insulted, especially love for God. It is not meant to be entertainment, but to draw to the wounds of Christ which are wounds of love.
@Cheesicle1 Shut up. Dont say stuff like that. We all know this is just a clip that somebody made to SHOW what Jesus went through for us. But this ACTUALLY happened to Jesus he went through pain and suffered, and yet he freed us from sin. So please take your negative comments elsewhere
two pieces are used. the first is shrill and disorienting, deliberately piercing/ uncomfortable. as one would be if you were stripped naked in public;the second is haunting, strangely consoling with overtones of what i think is a clarinet or oboe; contrasted against the hard grounding thuds (an echo of the nailing).
