  • What does WWE have against Canadians.... They always make them have that "WWE screwed me and I desearve one more chance" attitude... Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Christian all of them at some point in their careers had that attitude... Why is the WWE(F) So against Canadians having good wrestling attitudes... They're making us look bad When we're the best at what we do

  • Bret Hart was the man! Go Bret!

  • it looked completely scripted

  • Now this is wrestling! God I miss this!

  • @KUKLlNSKI Wrong, Bret won the RUmble the refs were just too stupid to watch what was going on in the ring.

  • And of course that faggot Shawn Michaels has to come out to try to steal the spotlight. Get his dumb ass on camera cause anything that is not about him he has to make sure it becomes about him somehow. What a waste, I wish someone would of beat his ass for real and ended his god damned career. There is nooone in wrestling worse then Shawn Michaels, what a fag

  • no this is wrestling

  • Le Femme Nikita Was delayed. Ha Ha Ha Ha

(All In The Family Tune): "Those were the DAYS"

  • Hope this happen again in 2012 with his niece Natalya

  • Its Fake Wwe Or Wwf Is Fake

  • @AxeRenagade It's not fake, it's scripted. You candy-ass roody-poo.

  • Stay tuned for LA FEMME NIKITA! F*CK THAT!!!!!

  • 3 of the all time greats & Psycho Sid (he was great, but not in the other 3 class)

  • John Cena did not destroy wrestling.

WWE was on a downward spiral for years.

Do I believe his character is stale and repetitive? yes it is. But Vince McMahon chooses not to do anything about that.

The whole company is not very good anymore. Smackdown SUCKS and that isn't Cena's fault. RAW overall is booked horribly most of the time.. that's NOT Cena's fault, that is the Creative Team and Vince too.

What's ruined wrestling is the lack of main eventers, PG & bad story lines.

  • This was amazing...The beginning of the Attitude Era. And everything sounded so much more dire and shocking with Jim Ross making the call.

  • @asifmiah1

    hahaha....no way

  • This was awesome stuff.. too bad wrestling sucks these days.

  • My buddies often wonder why I was so high on wrestling in those days. The current program maintains my attention for about ten minutes due to general stupidity. I remembered a time when flipping between Nitro and Raw was a constant shock to the senses because you didn't know what was going to happen. This video is a prime example. I remembered watching this over like five times and wondering if it was worked or not. Wrestling needs more moments that even smarks can get down on.

  • didnt sid break his ankle and end his career?

  • ..and people wondered why the montreal screwjob happened? lol

  • What's with the randomly placed 3 segments of cage propped around the ring?

  • @WizzyKidCreations this happend right after a sid/bret cage match

  • Comment removed

  • Bret hart was pissed!

Until Undertaker, stone cold, and that other guy fighting undertaker came out!

  • @todayshowman That's Sycho FUCKING Sid!

  • Please Brett

  • Don't know if this was before or after the screw job incident. If it was after, Bret Hart probably was not faking, much.

  • @yootubevids bret was gone after survivor series 97, he got screwed, tore shit up, and left. it was going to be his last match even if he won, thats why they took the belt

  • got damn i remember karate fighters!

  • Bret Hart kicks so much ass. He doesn't take shit from anyone.

  • was this real are storylined when he went off?

  • Pipebomb! Bret Hart vs Stone Cold is what really started the Attitude Era!

  • Bret Hart had in my opinion many great moments but THIS moment tops em all. That's what you call having enough and flipping out on television.

  • THIS was the start of the attitude era!! The hitman is the true origin :)

  • You want to talk about pipebombs, Bret Hart dropped some pretty big ones here lol.

  • thats fake..

  • "Everybody in that God Damn dressing room knows that Im The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be! And if you dont like it, Tough Shit!!

  • even though bret is sooking here, it still sounds awesome at the same time... long time baby face swearing and had enough

  • LMFAO at how Stone Cold just pops up in the camera view while Undertaker is ontop of Bret and starts whippin his ass.....It reminds of how funny Shane MacMahons chair shots used to be...Just random

  • LOL at Vince/Bret at 4:27

  • 2:40 "I DONT KNOW SHIT" god i love sid lmao

  • @desecrator1000 That's Sid for ya!

  • "i don't know shit crybaby!" hahahaha

  • this is how i would want john cena to turn heel, but sadly i dont see it happening

  • I have no idea what Shawn Michaels even came out for, lawls!

  • this was awesome.....bret hart couldn't do the attitude era....bullshit

  • birth of the greatest era in wrestling 1997

  • I love how Michaels came out... to do basically nothing.

Shawn couldn't stand anyone else having a great promo without him. ;)

  • In my opinion, this event was the beginning of The Attitude Era. The GREATEST era in WWF/E history!

  • I LOVE that Bret was the one man who didn't take SHIT from Steve & Steve LOVED it lol

  • The good old days!!!

  • i would love to have a copy of this raw

  • @Nwo4life1985 its online :)

  • undertaker ruins another good promo...

  • Sid don't know shit.

  • man.... the good old days. i mist this time so much. wrestleing was so graet. bret hart, austin, michaels undertaker..... some of th ebest days for wwf/wwe

  • ...Wow... They don't make wrestling like this anymore...

That's why MMA is kicking their ass

  • @XcXtrippyXcX MMA is also real. Lulz.

  • @Roksonixx Yh, but that doesn't mean anything, wrestling can sometimes make you suspend disbelief and is sometimes more entertaining to watch then MMA if done right...

They simply don't do it right anymore...

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!!!!!! Rofl bret hart is PISSED lol.

  • this is how and wrestling always should of stayed

  • now this IS A SHOOT

  • Fucking Epic

  • i fuckin love it

  • 3 marks were offended from bret speaking his mind

  • just glad la femme nikita is up next...

  • AWESOME HEEL!

  • I loved the Stone Cold/Bret Hart story line. I loved how Stone Cold wanted nothing but to beat Bret Hart, he didn't care if he won a title. His goal was to beat Bret and when he did, Stone Cold still wanted to beat Bret down even more. It was one of the best rivalries. The WWE needs something like that again!

  • @cafecitojcv If you watch the match Stone Cold actually tried to help Bret so he would get a title shot at WM. He even even mentions it when he interrupts Bret's shoot.

  • @cafecitojcv : Well they had a chance for that with CM Punk and Cena, but as always WWE screwed it up.

  • You know I ranked this #12 on The Top 50 Shocking Moments and Incidents in WWE's history(IN MY OPINION)

  • I was stunned when Bret pushed Vince... it looked so real. God bless the internet but man did it destroy wrestling in so many ways.

  • @m2diggs How did it destroy wrestling??? Cena destroyed wrestling, not the internet

  • @EddieNeverSleeps Are you serious? social media on the net has pretty much destroyed what wrestling use to be. for one, we now know when wrestlers are out of their contracts with their respective companies. we know the results ahead of time for pre-taped shows. we know all their dirty little secrets inside and outside the ring. just to give you one example, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash shocking move to WCW all those years back would have been leaked ahead of time.

  • @m2diggs Dude, the net has enhanced the fan experience. The Attitude Era was during the internet age. Finding out ahead of time isn't gonna stop us from watching, dumbass.

  • @EddieNeverSleeps The attitude era was during the infant stages of the internet. social media didn't even exist. clearly some people have stopped watching. yes people do stop watching after reading spoilers. I know because i've done it asshole and i'm sure i'm not the only one. the surprise factor in wrestling is all but gone because of the net. Chris Jericho's return was seen a mile away because of pictures of him at the airport floated around the net. NOW FUCK OFF!

  • @m2diggs U stupid Brit. Ur the only 1 who dznt watch cos of spoilers. Every1 else still does. THE NET DID NOT DESTROY WWE!! JOHN CENA DID. His lameass promos ruined it. NOT THE NET!!!

Go jump in the Thames river. loser. U don't even watch wwe cos it's on at 3 am over there. Get your own wrestling league.

  • @EddieNeverSleeps What the fuck are you talking about you imbecile? I live in the freaking states. I never said that the internet "was" the reason for wrestling's decline but it had a role in it. you have no clue what the hell you're talking about. just the fact the you thought I was an Englishman shows what a complete and utter retard you are!

  • @m2diggs Brits always say "fuck off". So fuck you and your family.

  • @EddieNeverSleeps LOL PATHETIC!

  • @m2diggs the internet is and was good for wrestling. faggot

  • @EddieNeverSleeps You really are a sad, pathetic individual getting all worked up over someones opinion. I guess I understand stand now. the internet is your only girlfriend right? my bad then.

  • @m2diggs I have a gf, so u fail. U will never have 1.

  • @EddieNeverSleeps lol yeah and I bet she has a lame screensaver!

    LOSER!

  • @EddieNeverSleeps By the way genius, my argument has nothing to do with ratings. it has to do with what wrestling use to be pre-internet. I don't know why the fuck you keep bringing up John Cena's name.

  • Wwe is now entering the reality era (2011)...but truly this is was great material

  • @lyh3 what is the reality era?

  • The good ol days!

  • @asifmiah1 no way kid, its all about Hornswoggle!

  • Wrestling at this point in time, everyone says, oh it was real, oh it was real, it never was. was that promo real, maybe, did vince Mcmahon know that he was going to get knocked on his ass? i bet you anything he did, however, was that a shoot? yes. they didn't know about the stuff he was going to say. But they didn't cut him off, or bleep him. therefore it is real? The WWF wanted to go Attitude and throw the script away, however it was still planned by the wrestlers, not hollywood writers

  • @M4xw3ll19 Although many scenes in pro wrestling are planned, scripted, or staged, this wasn't one of them. This scene was very real because the producers didn't censor Bret Hart's words. There's no way for anyone to curse like that on national television for that to be planned. The WWE could've and probably did get fined by the FCC for this incident.

  • @CoolBreeze250 the actions were planned the words weren't that ere was desgined by the performers, and i that's what cm punk brings that realism back but it is too watered down.

  • @M4xw3ll19 You can't have one without the other. It was obvious that Bret Hart was pissed off at what occurred days earlier. This was not one of those planned events.

  • Wow. This is when wrestling was REAL. Modern day WWE crap is unforgiving.

  • lol at austins baseball slide

  • disgrace

  • the birth of mr.mcmahon

  • [cursing short version]

    0:53, 0:56, 1:01, 1:08, 1:32 or 1:33, 1:46, 2:00 and 2:42[I dont know shit cry baby!]

  • bret hart was the first one to stand up to vince mcmahon before stone cold

  • You could tell they tried to bring this feeling back with that stunt by CM Punk... Although I like CM Punk, it was far from the same

  • I remember this, when I saw this my 1st reaction was holy shit. 10 years old and I was hooked. I miss these days. WWF/WWE these days is a joke.

  • bret hart made stone cold steve austin!

  • On my birthday w00t

  • LMAO @ 2:41 "I DON'T KNOW SHIT, CRY BABY!"

  • you can easily tell Bret was shooting for real cause he didn't let austin finish......

  • this is VHS? not bad....

  • Yea right Bret hart is bad ass

  • lol@Sid telling the truth for once. He doesn't know shit. lol

  • I remember this very well. The 5 second or 10 second or however many second drag time came into effect because of Bret's cursing. USA network got flooded with calls that night about the language being used.

  • @sxwrulz Those stupid people could have always changed the channel

  • @BryantFinlay Agreed dumbass people just wanting to complain about shit.

  • @sxwrulz That's incorrect. The delay came in after what happened with Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake at the Super Bowl. In 2004.

  • @cbaldwinjr Um NO it didn't. The delay came in for Monday Night Raw because of THIS SEGMENT!!! Go check Raws from the attitude era even when they were "live" especially Stone Cold's segments and which them "bleep" out certain words he said. Wonder how they could do that if it was totally "live"???

  • @sxwrulz Yep you're right on. Of course the concept of tape delay has been around a lot longer than 2004, or 1997, but specifically for Raw, it started after this segment.

  • @SuperDouche85 Yeah that's exactly what I meant that USA started using it on Raw because of this segment. cbaldwinjr must be about 13 years old to think delays didn't come in until 2004. lmao.

  • La Femme Nikita, followed by Swamp Thing and The Ray Bradbury Theater

  • what no censorship i guess there was no 5 second delay like there is now

  • lol, I said it in 97 while watching this live, and I'll say it now reliving the past. Fuck Le Femme Nikita.

  • This would lead to Bret Hart's heel turn.

  • Nothing like a good ole fashion out of control BRAWL to sell WrestleMania THIS SUNDAY!!!!!!!!

  • its awesome too; how they messed up on the mics all the time, crossed words and such, but they conveyed the emotion. additude era will live 4ever

  • palin 4 prez!

  • i remember when Bret went into rampage, me and my brother just couldn't believe what happened. at my school in the next day, almost everybody talked about it. it was a total chaos. what a memory back in those days! WWF at its finest.

  • Is it just me or does anyone else out there wish they had a time machine to go back to 1997 and try to convince Bret to stay in WWF? no matter what WCW was willing to pay him. Bret's rivalry with Austin, and "unveiling" Vince as the owner are what started the "attitude era" and then he didnt get to stay and enjoy it at the heights it finally reached.

  • jesus christ that was awesome

  • People may not realize or remember, but this segment was really one of the pioneer's of the early stages of the Attitude era. Mix in the soon to be completely vile HBK and DX (w/HHH), the emergence of Steve Austin, the Nation of Domination with a very young Rock, and you've got a great mix of young talent that's really on the up and up. As opposed to WCW, where they had a max 3 year window from 96 to really get their already established talent over (which they did for a while).

  • This shit is greatness. Well said by my favorite wrestler ever. I was n the fourth grade when this happened. I really thought he was gonna leave after this

  • Bret Hart's best ever promo, by miles.

  • Who said Bret couldn't speak!!!!!!!

  • Dang This Happen 8 days after Biggie's Death!!!

  • @lyricist614 - Yeah, and I took a smelly shit 4 days after Biggies death....who fucking cares?

  • thumbs up if mad tv brought you here

  • and last but least, the great white faggot micheals comes out at the end.

  • Classic promo... Awesome heel turn!

  • I loved it back then when it was live cause WCW kept announcing results on WCW so WWF did it live and Bret went bezerko on the mic.

  • 2:40 made my week

  • stone cold brett convo xD

  • what happen here makes me think that the Montreal screwjob was fake.

  • love the quality bro!

  • 0:50 to 0: 140 is the birth of "Mr. McMahon" or however u spell it. shit just like sid said I DONT KNOW SHIT

  • When I smoke a blunt of loud I feel like sid...

    "I DONT KNOW SHIT!"

  • actors were brought in the first Wrestlemanias

  • i love how bret goes " you screwed me". haha little does he know...

  • Thats right Bret cry some more :,,,,,,-(

  • This was unofficially speaking, the "Attitude Era". Folks seem to think it was officially late 97, but this was something of a prequel to that period. This was back when the WWE Title actually meant something. Back when folks gave a shit and title reigns weren't forgone conclusions like today.

Hell, you didn't even have to get actors from Hollywood to sell folks on buying Mania.

  • i miss segments like this, this doesn't feel scripted or predictable at all

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT!

  • This one was not real but after awile it did become real Bret was some kind of pissed.

  • I remember I had beg my mom to let me stay up late to watch this...good times

  • fucking love & miss the attitude era

  • THUMBS UP if u hated it when that LE FEMME NIKITA message would scroll at the bottom of the screen

  • Psycho Sid doesn't know shit

  • If you don't like it, TOUGH SHIT! Priceless.

  • can someone explain to me why shawn michaels came out? wat was the angle they were gonna go with here for shawn? just wondering...been wondering

  • "This is bullshit!"

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT!!!!!!

    Epic

  • SUICIDE DIVE BY HART!!!

  • totally a work but Bret had me going for a bit there

  • This was when wrestling was genuinely promoted well. I was so ecstatic for Wrestlemania after this. I actually ordered the PPV. Today's wrestling is too predictable and soft that I don't bother watching any more.

  • Was this real? Or was it part of the act?

  • @Imachowderhead Definitely part of the act. But Bret Hart definitely made it seem real as hell. This was intense.
