I have Baton Twirled since a child, Firstly the word `retarded` is rather offensive. I have stidied this video and I dont find it so messy. I think it`s very progressional, just some fine tuning with the Baton might be appropriate, not a problem, whose perfect in this world. I say Bravo !!
yes I agree it is messy but as a former twirler now retired from USTA, ... can you imagine watching this high as a kite? That would be so trippy to see holly neilson doing monster rolls that slow!
this is actually quite messy. i used to twirl like this, then watched a video of me practicing and realised that i was twirling like this, so i worked on cleaning up my technique and now place much better at comps :)
shes not very neat.... and shes not tossing from the middle.... and when she does her flourishes her arm isnt extended like it should be....these are the things that use to seperate me from 1st and 2nd plast now i win first in all my competitions
@pengunuu yeah that's true, seeing it slow doesn't make it any easier for you yourself to do it lol. Just nice seeing it slow so you can see the mechanics of the tricks, and you can appreciate how hard some of them really are :).

that was really cool, especially when you consider how hard some of those tricks are, you made it look super easy :).
tmwalkerm 1 year ago
@tmwalkerm I actually think the video makes the tricks look more difficult than it is! But it helps break down each movement, which can help.
