  • Man I had some of the best times of my life at Quincey.. The Bell 412 , the Jet .. The party ... And theres no Boogie that even come close to it these days...

  • I mean .... what could possible go wrong ......

  • must be amazing....

  • This brings me a few tears in my eyes.

I want to be an helicopter pilot so bad. <3

  • man, i wanna do that

  • gees you wouldn't want one of your chutes to accidentaly deploy , which happened a while ago with a cessna caravan with less than desirable results... some good pedal turns & steep turns there for a 5 ton chopper ... you guys would have been weightless at some stages

  • i wanna do this so bad. amazing vid.

  • I love it!!!! Where was this video taken at?

  • nice .........real nice............really!!!

  • dude thats the most bad ass thing i have ever seen ,,thats going on my bucket list!!!

  • you lucky bastard

  • Thats once crazy pilot

  • I wish I was there :)

  • Very cool! I guess its nice to be able to go to a place with no power lines...

  • k, its been bugging me, did you guys have anything to hold on to or hold you in while that low?

  • @Gergerberger Yeah, we were all wearing seatbelts.

  • man hes like at -500 ft agl

  • He was a hell of a lot lower than that.

  • @skat0r try 20, if that!

  • Helluva ride, isn't it?

  • just like my father...just my dad is more badass ;)

  • The 412 is the sexiest helo to ever enter the civilian market, just flat out beautiful

  • badass vid.

  • Awesome video.

  • really good vid, good pilot, good music......what more can you say!

  • Brings back some great memories, WFFC was the highlight of the year. Still remember the first year of Rantoul the heli and bi-plane landing area was by the corn maze in this hilly field. Then jumpers started landing in the maze so they moved the landing area over by that radio tower. I should put my vids up from the 412 and the S-58T. Floater out on the wheel and strut of the S-58 was cool too...

  • I got some great still shots from the S58 too. The ride wasn't as fun as the 412 but, what a launch platform for a photographer.

  • NEED TO RIDE ON IT,LOVE HELIS.joeriver92,check my videos out.

  • that helicopter is use by marines and fire depts ive only see never rode in them but still a cool heli =)

  • Wow...8) Is a pilot this good necessarily ex-military, people? I have no clue...

  • No military experience at all from what I understand..

  • Hot damn - That looks amazing. Thx for the upload. 5/5 stars :D

  • Shit happens. It's always a good idea to check your pins and handles before you climb on and before you climb out of the aircraft.

  • Very true. was this at the last WFFC in 06? Man i hope they start doing it again, I never got to go :(

  • That sounds about right. The last time I was there was in 2004 and Rod wasn't flying the 412. It was some other guy flying an S58. The ride wasn't anywhere near as cool but we got about 8,000 feet instead of 4 or 5

  • awesome, but for some reason i think about the video where the guys container popped open in the door of the plane mid jump........ neverless, I would love to do this!

  • It's just a mirror image video effect, that's all....

  • Nice video, wonder though, why the tail rotor is on the left side of the tail from 2:10 to 2:17 yet from 2:31 it's on the right-side (normal side for 212/412).

  • Awesome.... Just awesome

  • Brilliant ; he threw it round like a jet fighter . bet his flying exam was one to watch......

  • Very nice!

  • awesome!!!what a rush just watching, cool music cool machine the 412 need more vids like this.

  • Good Stick.

  • I guess the hell with the dead man's curve

  • His airspeed was high enough. You can fly inches off the deck as long as you are hauling ass.

  • awsome! looks so good!

  • fantastic....

  • I totally wish I was riding that!! :-)

  • pimping!!! very nice.

  • Muito, mas muito legal mesmo. Nota 10. Show

  • Ya BabY!!! SICK!! :-)

  • Great!! The best video i've seen. I'm a helicopter pilot, i'm sure the pilot had done a recognize flight before this mission. The video edition, the music, everything is perfect.

  • Great flying and video footage.

  • awesome fun! next time you talk to the pilot, ask him if the word 'wire-strike' means anything to him...

    lol!

  • that looked like sooooo much fun that was cool how the pilot flew real low i wanna fly a UH-1y in the Marines. i just loove the Huey.

  • wow que padree me encanto, oye donde fue eso??? en que ciudad??? saludos

  • Man this video makes me miss the good ol' days of the WFFC. Rod Tinney's Bell 412 will always be one of my favorite memories.

  • I´m a bell 412 pilot and let me tell you that´s a very good clip. Five stars

  • Not all the shots were of a bell 412 were they...I suspect you had at least one shot of a Bell Iroquois...single huey. Time frame 2:12 shows tailrotor on wrong side for 412...

  • Yep, they're all of the same Bell 412EP. I just flipped that clip around while editing, that's all.

  • I fly UH-60 in the army and I can tell you that helicopters can do some extreme flying.

  • I have flown a 412, but not like this... This was just... insane..

  • Great vid! Liked the ending :)

  • Great video

  • Super bien el video me gusto ya lo puse en mis favoritos! un saludo!! desde Chetumal Mexico

  • where did you fly with a bell 412??

i come from germany, i´ve never seen something like that before, but its a big dream to fly at the door in flight...

  • I shot these rides during the World Free Fall Convention in Rantoul, Illinois a few years back. Unfortunately, the pilot's insurance company will no longer permit him to fly skydivers. It's a damned shame....

  • because of his wild flights with skydivers?

    If he´s a stuntpilot there´s no risk i think...

  • sweet vid ill do that sometime

  • ha ha ya that looks like it was fuckin fun man

  • I'm goin' to make my way back home and learn to fly. THANK YOU FOO FIGHTERS. YOU ROCK. MENTOS. Dude, evan skydivers get a kick from chopper low level.

  • That was the dogs downbelows!!!!!!!!! OUTSTANDING!!! TOP OF MY LIST OF THINGS TO DO BEFORE I DIE!!!!!!!!

  • Very VERY cool!

  • hi zx is it u flying?

    where is it?

    damm i wish i have 4 blades than 2 !

    looks cool

    fly safe

    markus

  • Me flying? I wish ;) I was the guy filming the whole thing. The cameras were mounted on my head.

  • Anyone know the song in that video? Awesome video by the way!

  • Tanks. The song is "Learn to Fly" by the Foo Fighters

  • Wow. This really looks like fun....

  • man that was an awesome video! great pilot! MORE MORE MORE!!

  • I like the jump shot.

  • That was a fantastic video!

  • Actually, we pulled rather low on that one - there wasn't much of a parachute ride to film :)

  • What altitude did you deploy? I hear it's around 5K. What an E-ticket that had to have been!

  • Exit altitude was only around 4,000 feet (pretty standard for heli-jumps). My deployment was around 1,500 feet.

  • AWESOME! I Wanna Ride. :*(

  • Wow! what a rush!

  • that was BRILLIANT. I just wish there was more footage of the parachute ride down....
