I never understood how the helicopter can fly upside down, I always thought that the propellers push air down, then upside down, would push the air up.
is the LCD remote control comes with the e-razor 450 heli? cuz i saw other e-razor 450 owners here on youtube that got one with only the flashing light indicator. and on the xheli.com website, they got pic of both remote control on the ads. whats the different? and if i order one today, which remote will i get?
Im in love with this helicopter! Im getting mines today in the mail. This is a great heli for a great price with good components... I have a question to ask, what would be great servos to put on this helicopter and to tweak up the throttle speed on it???
I don't know why people are saying Xheli lies. RTF means ready to fly, which refers to it having everything you need to fly, as in a remote, heli, motor, battery. RTF does not mean beginner, and I highly recommend beginners to go and buy a fixed pitch or non 3D flying heli. Maybe check out the Blade MCX2, or the Blade MSR.
on the new model the metal pin that sticks out from the swashplate is very weak it broke and twisted the 2 metal pins in the blade housing on spooling up. replacing most of the parts with METAL parts that look somewhat better + 1 servo was DOA costed me my blades then went on from there after making sure my shaft wasnt bent after removing blades then spooling up.
heli i ordered xheli_com/60h-dy8918-b-razor450heli-24g-red.html
Hey. I've been flying 3 and 4 ch helis and want to move up to a 6ch. This one seems great for the money. How hard is it transitioning from a 3/4 ch heli to a 6 ch? Also, is there a switch on the transmitter that would allow me to turn off the 3D capabilities until i'm used to it? Thanks.
Remember, the top left switch needs to be towards you to be in head hold mode.
The gyro will be red upon power up and initialization, don't touch it during it's intialization, if it turns blue in 5 seconds, you're in head hold mode and ready to go!
Is this your first heli? If it is, ask lots of questions, I don't want to see you crashing it first thing, this is a serious toy, it's fully 3D capable, so be careful!
Have you been simming like crazy? Know it inside out?
I'm fairly new to the rc heli side of things, i can fly them normally but can't do stunts, could you please explain to me the steps in flying upside down?
i have a few questions: about how long does the battery last, how far away can you control it from, and do you know any good cameras i can attach to it?
The battery will last 8 mins, but you'll damage the pack by drawing it too low, run it for 6 minutes so that your battery doesn't puff and become useless after 20 flights.
In other words, 8 mins for 30 flights, or 6 minutes for 150 flights, it's up to you!
For $14.70, xheli has a small camera that takes a micro SD card, it records 640x480 and will be perfect on this heli, not too big.
Also you should get a sim, xheli has that too. It can go as far as you can see! Don't worry.
Hello, I have my new E Razor 450 and I can not charge my battery with the supplied charger nothing happens. Any suggestion? Im new about this Thanks!.
To those who are new in the hobby...you should meet someone who knows how to fly already.....its not hard to find somebody and i'm pretty sure they'll be happy to help you...it will sure do save you some money!!!..Simply ask...."Is my helicopter set-up right??"...when i first started I was really disappointed coz it just wouldn't fly and I already know how to fly in flight G3 simulator and still can't fly it.....nyway this suggestion is for beginners only!!!!!
Great suggestion man! I'm subscribing to you cuz you obviously know what you're talking about.
I went down the same path, got my first heli, crashed it, knew how to fly in the sim, but didn't know about pitch curve or even idle up pitch range, it takes a long time to learn everything, maybe I should make an RC heli 101 for beginners, those who want to learn or something, it'd take some work, but would be worth it, don't you think?

Hello there, since I’m new pilot I’m agree with you that certainly will need the flight sim kit. consequently please be so kind and let me know in which site I can buy this and I will need also some tools such screwdriver etc
For everyone to know, if you are NEW to helis, expect to crash, and expect to repair it, so buy spare parts and GOOD TOOLS!
GOOD TOOLS!: What I mean by that is a HIGH QUALITY 1.5mm HEX DRIVER, just drop the money and get an ALIGN driver, they are the best, and cost the most, but when you strip a 1.5mm hex, you'll realize what a headache it is, worst thing on earth. Align has two 1.5mm drivers in a package, GET IT! You need TWO for the feathering shaft.
Oh and if you're wondering, I learned from MY MISTAKES. I purchased all the cheap tools and found out the hard way. Bondhus is considered good quality, but failed to compare with Align still. ALIGN is the best, no competition, even with industry's best tools such as Snap-on, etc.
Every handyman knows, spend the money in the tools, the rest doesn't really matter.
Bigger hex drivers can be cheaped out on tho, no big deal, they don't strip easily.
Fantastic video? I am a new electric 450 heli pilot and when I take off my heli spins as much as 60 to 90 rpm when my stick is in the neutral position. When I adjust the trim only one click it's as if I moved the stick all the way in that direction. How can I reduce the sensitivity of the trim? My rudder is channel 6 and I tried adjusting the sub trims to no avail. How can I reduce the range of correction my trim has only for the rudder as my main blade trim and throttle trim... work fine?
i am ordering one later tonight hopefully and i was wondering which switches i have to swith to make it reverse thrust or whether the throttle stick starts halfway up then if you bring it down below halfway it makes the helicopter fly downwards plz reply!!!
Get a Dx6i (and receiver) if you get this heli (receiver ready version from Xheli) if you got the money. You'll be glad that you did! The ERazor does look a little better design than the G2. Plus the erazor has C-Fiber blades and aluminum rotor head and tail.
One more thing. It's not bashing if it's true. My big problem with these companies is that they advertise a much higher quality rtf than is delivered. Possibly it would be better to NOT offer rtf's in this price range. They're just too dangerous. Untill that happens, I will let newbies know what to expect from these choppers and these companies.
Nothing in a rtf in this price range from these types of companies is worth buying. Cough up the extra cash and go with Align, Thunder Tiger, Horizon.....................
hey i just got one of these but the batter charger make a lot of noise, like nails on a chalkboard and constant high pitched beeps, please tell me this isn't normal!
@unsc2295 If by noise you mean a certain "whine" then yes. Some chargers will experience a while when charging. If you feel that its at a unbearable level please give our tech support a call
My charger makes a whining noise, it's normal, all transformers hummmmm. It's because electricity is delivered @ 60hz in North America, transformers have to convert this and rectify it to DC voltage to charge your DC battery.
Completely NORMAL for chargers to make noise.
Expensive chargers don't make noise, so if anyone finds it annoying, just buy a better charger!
The better chargers can reduce your charge time as well, so it's worth getting.
Update on my razor. After 3 wks the 3d switch snaped off with the switch, unexpectedly, in the 2 d mode. Total loss. I am going with a Trex 450 clone. Do not buy this bird or any from this company!!!!!!!
I've been looking at the E-razor 450 and the G2. Do you have a favorite of these two? It seems like the E-razor is a little better built, but the G2 has a better Transmitter. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the reply, but that really does not remotely answer my question. Maybe you could provide a useful alternative to one of the heli's I suggested and possibly a vendor instead of just bashing xheli.
your a liar xhelicopter im doing flips and rolls and the timer on my remote says 20:00 minutes and it still has lots of charge
there is just one problem with this helicopter, you cant take of from inch high grass or soft dirt because the tail rotor hit the ground. i recommend short grass or concrete
This chopper can be had at a few different sites. DO NOT buy from xheli, nitroplanes or hobhypartz, they may have more .coms. The RTF models are NOT ready to fly, you must have experience.
Just a heads up here. There's a lot of good quality birds out there, be carefull who you by from. In my exprerience, nitroplanes and xheli are not up to our standards. Again, the product's are good. Many times though, the products are not as described. What these guys call RTF is not what beginners want to get into. Their customer service, tech support, and interpretation of what the products should be cappable of doing are far from advertized!!! Be carefull.
@BlackDart94 Not considered for beginners at all, I recommend that you try our the 4 coaxial then slowly advance to the 6chs, Also note these are extremely difficult to fly for even the best beginners
tony said on the video that the gain was dead on the tracking was dead on ( out of the box.) that's a big fat lie and i said what i said for the question how's this bird for some body just starting heli's it's not ( i bought one and out of the box the servo arms don't go all the way like they're supposed to cuz they get stuck the tail servo is of limit the gyro is off i could go on and on with the list buttom line you have to be an advanced flyer and set it up like from scrach
which is better? this or the belt cp 450 v2? im thinking to get this because the rotor head is made of metal. which is more aerobatic? i have a e flite blade sr. also is this better than a blade cp pro 2?
I just bought the 2.4ghz from Xheli. I'm in New Zealand, only took a week or two to get here. Flies great right out of box. This is my first 6ch, I've been learning on an HBFP. First hover yesterday in the garage with the ERazor, feels fine. Doesn't develop positive pitch until a long way up the stick but I think I can adjust that on the tx.
Some parts are compatible with the Trex 450 SE V1 or SA head, it uses the V1 feathering shaft. The tail shaft/tail boom/landing gear/fins, main(325mm)/tail blades are also swappable. The servo mounts are also the same.
The things that aren't the same are the main shaft, tail belt, head/tail assemblies, canopy(unfortunately, mounts are too far forward), and main frame.
It's a good heli. Now they have the 2.4ghz version, which is awesome because 2.4ghz is much more reliable than 72mhz.
Hey when are you guy's gonna stock up on your helicopter's and helicopter's spare parts. You seem to be out of stock for a long time on heli's and heli parts. And it's been more than a month on other RTF heli's and parts that I've been watching and waiting for. What's up with the long wait???
That's a bit of an exaggeration. The E-Razor 450 does not break easy, but if you crash hard enough, it will break. The Madhawk 300 does not break easy either. If you crash hard enough, it will break.
Indeed the madhawk 300 does have an intrinsic flaw with its tail rotor blades; mine broke from a 2 feet drop on flat carpet too. This than can further be attested by the constant 'out of stock' stats for these replacement blades on your website. Anyways, can you put together a substitute tail rotor blade for this chopper as an alternative on the parts page of the madhawk? We really need to get back into the air...
This heli's not bad, I've crashed it before and it breaks just like the Trex 450SE V1, which means the frame doesn't explode. You basically have to replace the feathering shaft, main shaft, maybe tail boom/belt and tail shaft, if you hit the tail.
There are helis out there where the main frame explodes, take a look at the pictures, if the frame is made of thin supports, it'll break. This one is made of thick plastic, and holds together well during crashes, except the landing gear.
Not realy, it is so graceful in its movements that if it does manage to slip out of your hands and crash you'll break or bend the feathering shaft, bend the main shaft and bend the flybar. Your bearings/washers and O rings will fly out into the grass too if you do break the feathering shaft. Depending on the intensity of the impact, damages can extend beyond the head assembly. Tail boom is not chopped in a crash as is always the case with the Raptor G2 although the G2 is a good chopper.
If this is your first time flying, I strongly recommend that you Start off with a 4ch helicopter instead. You will avoid expensive repairs from crashing. But if you do insist on starting with this one, then invest in a training kit and Flight Simulator.
Only 1 guarantee if you don't simulate first, is that you'll crash it and be disappointed.
Learning to fly an RC heli is the same as snowboarding, every crash is a fall. If it's your first time on a snowboard, you'll crash, same with this RC heli, it's a 3D bird, and being so, you need to learn how to fly it, or you'll crash.
Simulate enough, and you'll be able to fly it for the first time without crashing. Assuming you don't crash in the simulation.
Few weeks ago I have purchase a helicopter model razor 450 directly from the manufacture company in China and they tall me that they dont recommend the flight simulation system because infect the flight system of heli system is this correct?
Looking forward to receive your prompt reply, thanks in advance
This Heli is meant for beginners, but without practicing on a computer simulator, you will have no skills to fly it. Like learning how to ride a bike, if you jump on a bike and have never rode, you will fall in 1 second. If you practice, you can go all day without crashing. It will not infect the flight system, only positive gains will be noticed, in your skill and flying abilities. Get a simulator, it is essential to flying an RC Heli.
@TheAthensWarriors Yes get the flight sim it is well worth every penny I have the razor 450 and bought a flight sim too !!! If you've never flown before you WILL CRASH your first time and be out till you get replacement parts. get the sim and practice and you will be much happier!!!

Depending on how you fly it you can actually get more than 10minutes, but if you plan on going 3d most of the time 10minutes is what you'll expect from this heli
10 minutes is more than enough for an RC heli, your heart will be racing, adrenaline will be running through your veins, and you'll want to land within 3 minutes.
My CopterX with an 800Watt motor on there lasts 2.5 minutes, it's MORE than enough flying time for one flight.
With this heli, you're more going for the excitement of 3D, not 10 minutes of boring hovering.
I'm going be reviewing this helicopter on my live show tonight 6:30PM Pacific time Go to mikeysrc dot com and click on the Weekly Group Chat button at the top of the page.
is there some place you can go to get help with this product. Im new to rc heli's and my wife got me this for x-mas .. So i need to learn as much as i can before i go braking it so i know what to fix!
Hi Fetherbutter, you can go to rcdiscuss . com for all the help you need. We have a great community and a team of specialists that answers questions all day. Good luck!
Forums are good(rcuniverse), if it's specific you can ask me if you've got any questions, I've done a complete teardown and rebuild of the 450. This bird is quite simple, actually easier than a Trex 450. Don't get intimidated by all the parts, it all comes together intuitively.
I even like it and I've already got a CopterX 450 SE V2.
The E-Razor can do 3D out of the box, but don't go inverted right away, you should take it easy and get a hang of it first.
It's got a little less power because the radio has a low mid point in idle up, but no biggy, upgrade to the 2.4ghz radio they got going for less than $50 and you can make all the adjustments you want.
Ya, I've got this helicopter too, it's a good one, probably the best RTF out there. It's too bad the radio is so limited, otherwise it'd be much better, like you said, midstick is stuck at a low throttle. All that could be fixed with a quick upgrade to better radio though, then this thing would be better for 3D.
Also, you said the screw adjusts the gain, it won't adjust it unless you unplug the gyro gain wire from channel 5, the CH 5 switch adjusts the gain from HH to RH

How can I reduce the range of correction my trim has only for the rudder as my main blade trim and throttle trim... work fine?

BluesGuitares 1 year ago
Nothing in a rtf in this price range from these types of companies is worth buying. Cough up the extra cash and go with Align, Thunder Tiger, Horizon.....................

hey i just got one of these but the batter charger make a lot of noise, like nails on a chalkboard and constant high pitched beeps, please tell me this isn't normal!
unsc2295 1 year ago
@unsc2295 If by noise you mean a certain "whine" then yes. Some chargers will experience a while when charging. If you feel that its at a unbearable level please give our tech support a call
xhelicopter 1 year ago
@xhelicopter
The better chargers can reduce your charge time as well, so it's worth getting.

there is just one problem with this helicopter, you cant take of from inch high grass or soft dirt because the tail rotor hit the ground. i recommend short grass or concrete
davpad 1 year ago
This chopper can be had at a few different sites. DO NOT buy from xheli, nitroplanes or hobhypartz, they may have more .coms. The RTF models are NOT ready to fly, you must have experience.
BluesGuitares 1 year ago
@BluesGuitares RTF doesn't imply no experience needed, it means its READY TO FLY, as in no external part required to be able to fly the heli.
basshoundusa 1 year ago
Just a heads up here. There's a lot of good quality birds out there, be carefull who you by from. In my exprerience, nitroplanes and xheli are not up to our standards. Again, the product's are good. Many times though, the products are not as described. What these guys call RTF is not what beginners want to get into. Their customer service, tech support, and interpretation of what the products should be cappable of doing are far from advertized!!! Be carefull.

xhelicopter 1 year ago
I just bought the 2.4ghz from Xheli. I'm in New Zealand, only took a week or two to get here. Flies great right out of box. This is my first 6ch, I've been learning on an HBFP. First hover yesterday in the garage with the ERazor, feels fine. Doesn't develop positive pitch until a long way up the stick but I think I can adjust that on the tx.
UnkleSi 2 years ago
Is this heli compatible with trex parts
archer7153 2 years ago
Some parts are compatible with the Trex 450 SE V1 or SA head, it uses the V1 feathering shaft. The tail shaft/tail boom/landing gear/fins, main(325mm)/tail blades are also swappable. The servo mounts are also the same.
The things that aren't the same are the main shaft, tail belt, head/tail assemblies, canopy(unfortunately, mounts are too far forward), and main frame.
It's a good heli. Now they have the 2.4ghz version, which is awesome because 2.4ghz is much more reliable than 72mhz.

We have no control of what the manufacturers makes, but you can probably find better and newer helicopters on our website that are in stock.

xhelicopter 2 years ago
Do this heli breaks easy? Because I have the madhawk 300 and that sucker breaks so easy, that if you sneeze to loud it will break.
BIGGBULLxxx 2 years ago
That's a bit of an exaggeration. The E-Razor 450 does not break easy, but if you crash hard enough, it will break. The Madhawk 300 does not break easy either. If you crash hard enough, it will break.
-Teddy from rcdiscuss . com
xhelicopter 2 years ago
Indeed the madhawk 300 does have an intrinsic flaw with its tail rotor blades; mine broke from a 2 feet drop on flat carpet too. This than can further be attested by the constant 'out of stock' stats for these replacement blades on your website. Anyways, can you put together a substitute tail rotor blade for this chopper as an alternative on the parts page of the madhawk? We really need to get back into the air...
t07xqj4o 2 years ago
This heli's not bad, I've crashed it before and it breaks just like the Trex 450SE V1, which means the frame doesn't explode. You basically have to replace the feathering shaft, main shaft, maybe tail boom/belt and tail shaft, if you hit the tail.
There are helis out there where the main frame explodes, take a look at the pictures, if the frame is made of thin supports, it'll break. This one is made of thick plastic, and holds together well during crashes, except the landing gear.
DavidSunshine867 2 years ago
Not realy, it is so graceful in its movements that if it does manage to slip out of your hands and crash you'll break or bend the feathering shaft, bend the main shaft and bend the flybar. Your bearings/washers and O rings will fly out into the grass too if you do break the feathering shaft. Depending on the intensity of the impact, damages can extend beyond the head assembly. Tail boom is not chopped in a crash as is always the case with the Raptor G2 although the G2 is a good chopper.
t07xqj4o 2 years ago
i ordered it today i won't be disappointed right? it will be my first heli .
sgtcortez1 2 years ago
If this is your first time flying, I strongly recommend that you Start off with a 4ch helicopter instead. You will avoid expensive repairs from crashing. But if you do insist on starting with this one, then invest in a training kit and Flight Simulator.
xhelicopter 2 years ago
Only 1 guarantee if you don't simulate first, is that you'll crash it and be disappointed.
Learning to fly an RC heli is the same as snowboarding, every crash is a fall. If it's your first time on a snowboard, you'll crash, same with this RC heli, it's a 3D bird, and being so, you need to learn how to fly it, or you'll crash.
Simulate enough, and you'll be able to fly it for the first time without crashing. Assuming you don't crash in the simulation.
Good luck!

Dear David,
Few weeks ago I have purchase a helicopter model razor 450 directly from the manufacture company in China and they tall me that they dont recommend the flight simulation system because infect the flight system of heli system is this correct?
Looking forward to receive your prompt reply, thanks in advance
TheAthensWarriors 1 year ago
@TheAthensWarriors
hey,
This Heli is meant for beginners, but without practicing on a computer simulator, you will have no skills to fly it.
Cheers.

how long does the battery last ? i am planing on buying one but i don't want to get something that is only going to last me 10 minutes.
sgtcortez1 2 years ago
Depending on how you fly it you can actually get more than 10minutes, but if you plan on going 3d most of the time 10minutes is what you'll expect from this heli
xhelicopter 2 years ago
10 minutes is more than enough for an RC heli, your heart will be racing, adrenaline will be running through your veins, and you'll want to land within 3 minutes.
My CopterX with an 800Watt motor on there lasts 2.5 minutes, it's MORE than enough flying time for one flight.
With this heli, you're more going for the excitement of 3D, not 10 minutes of boring hovering.
I would suggest against the hovering!!

Fetherbutter,
Forums are good(rcuniverse), if it's specific you can ask me if you've got any questions, I've done a complete teardown and rebuild of the 450. This bird is quite simple, actually easier than a Trex 450. Don't get intimidated by all the parts, it all comes together intuitively.
Cheers.
PS: Your wife's awesome, she got you a good bird.

It's a good 2nd heli man. You'll like it.

Good review Tony!!
DavidSunshine867 2 years ago
Hey, Thanks for the tip. I agree as this is an Awesome RTF for the price. Post up videos if you have any
xhelicopter 2 years ago
Ya, it's truly RTF out of the box. They've set everything up quite well, and used locktite where needed.
One bad thing is the manual, it could use some work, but you can learn everything from the net, so it's not big deal.
Ya I got a vid up, more to come!
