The Mac Rules, anything that Stevie or Christine sings is awesome, The Dixie sluts version of landslide is an insult to the true beauty of the song that Stevie does so well
Mirage is an awesome album. I can listen to it all the way through. "Oh Diane", "Only Over You", "That's Alright" and "Gypsy" are the cream of the crop.
@Wench098 One thing I've always liked about this song, oddly, was Lindsy Buckingham doubling on banjo. It created a sound that was different from Mac's usual fare, but it was still unmistakeably Fleetwood Mac. It's one of the better tracks from Mirage.
You know why this song is so neat? It's a sharp break from the dark and ethereal songs I normally associate with Stevie Nicks like "Gold Dust Woman" and "Rhiannon." It's almost a country and western song, right? What's funny is that although I'd love to hear a C&W cover of it sometime (if someone in that genre had the ingenuity of digging it up and trying it), it still wouldn't be the same without Stevie's voice.
Brilliant song - such a care free beat... a sunny day, swinging along, not a care in the world - won and lost love but what the heck, happy anyway and gracious to the other person who lost out too... that's alright! Thanks for the post, wench!
Such a great song! Could have really been a country hit, thank god it wasn't, who knows where they would've headed if that happened haha. Greatest band ever.
They were good musicians, but I agree. Lindsay and Stevie were the glitter, the sound and what the band was about. Christie was the amazing undercurrent.
crazy for waiting on ya baby!!!! Thats Alrights!!! I hope you find love!!! :)
