Orient simply means eastern. Although today it is mostly associated with China in its original European usage it referred to what is now called the MIDDLE East; which was then the FAR East.
"Oriental Rug" would have referred to Persian style rugs and you can still see that remnant of the usage today.
So, Arabic music is not East Asian, but it is Oriental.
Orient does mean easten but in all contexts it refers to indo-china(china vietman malaysia ect.) All countries occupied by the brits. Indo-china was always refered to as "the Orient".Arabic music is Arabic music no-one would call it "east asian ,oriental".
Wha...? Awesome instrumentation, but nothing of the actual tune?!? Why only the intro? I was soo looking forward to it, and got nothing but disappointment. :(

What the heck is "green" with these dudes?... trying to sneak in on the Irish and demolish "Óró, Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile".

Yes, it does. Even the phrase "to orient oneself" means to face east.
"All countries occupied by the brits."
It is not a British word. It is a Romance word. The Orient Express left Paris and arrived . . .?
