It's crazy when Lucifer says to Sam "I'm sorry, I truly am." and "My heart breaks for you" He actually means it. I really like their portrayal of satan. I think if he were real that is similar to how he'd be. if not almost exactly the same.

This scene is very similiar to the scene where Lucifer (in Sam's body) confronts Dean and tells him that he will become Michael's vessell and they will have their faceoff. Even that same line "You're wrong" is in there.

@KissOfDoom1 In the bible, lucifer is said to be the 'angel of light' because he convinces people that he's a nice guy. He makes himself on the show sound reasonable, but the truth is he is evil; he wants to wipe out humankind just because he's jealous that his father liked them more. But I agree that the other angels are far from perfect.

@aevald Mortensen didn't play Lucifer so much as he played Satan- there's a difference of personality, they're the same person per se, we only really see the "Satan" side in Supernatural towards the end of this season.

God, the actor is legendary.

He's portrayal of this great, immense, vastly intelligent, "thing" was incredible.

I was actually getting burnt out on the series but once I saw that episode I was like "IT ON!"
