The Cosby show did have an impact on BLACK AMERICA simply because it portrayed black families in an image that was nonexistant in TV.How many african american doctors and female lawyers in a family setting with morals and values were there on TV at the time? None before the cosby show, and still not many after it. It gave african american children hope, that even though their family setting may bave been far from the cosbys it was reassuring to see that it was attainable and there was an example

I couldn't agree more. The Cosby Show made it cool to want to get good grades and go to school and it showed black youths you don't have to be an athlete or entertainer to make it in this world. It showed us that you can just be smart and do the right things and you can attain any goal you put in your heart.
