I eventually took it upon myself to read the bible but all that did was raise more questions. I honestly wanted these questions answered but the rector would tell me to stop 'being a nuisance' and simply believe what i was being told without question. Yes, we have improved. Morality HAS improved. As more people become atheist over the years, morality has surged in the right direction. There is no more barbarism now than ever before. You confuse population with instances of bloodshed. Besides, 95% of all previous bloodshed has its basis in religion. Ever hear the term 'holy war'? Science is based on PROOF and FACT. there is no room for 'faith' because that would mean a hypothesis would have to be fact. That would mean nothing would work.

Yes, we have improved. Morality HAS improved. As more people become atheist over the years, morality has surged in the right direction. There is no more barbarism now than ever before. You confuse population with instances of bloodshed. Besides, 95% of all previous bloodshed has its basis in religion. Ever hear the term 'holy war'? Science is based on PROOF and FACT. there is no room for 'faith' because that would mean a hypothesis would have to be fact. That would mean nothing would work.

There is utterly no proof for the existence of God. Because of this i will never take anything religion has to say seriously. If god loves us, then why does he threaten non-believers with an eternity in hell? That's the biggest hypocrasy of them all. By the way, our understanding of matter and energy will be deepened immensely when the large hadron collider goes online at CERN in November. That is the beauty of science, we will always be making discoveries. Religion is losing, reason is winning.

The bible suggests people who do not worship god will go to hell. God apparently wrote the bible. Therefore, god is saying that people who do not follow him will burn in hell for eternity. Besides, i do not need religion to lead a good life and to be good to others. Thats what i do. Now, according to christianity, i'm still going to hell. @payambar Simple observations. Nothing more. We know gravity and dark energy exist even if we aren't able to quantify them fully, yet. We didn't know what matter was made of up until the hypothesis of the atom. We then knew what to look for and guess what? Science enabled us to find the atom. Don't be so pessimistic about science for it will eventually answer what gravity and dark energy is. There's no observable evidence for god. If it cannot be tested and observed, it doesn't exist.

No, I wont become atheist because I choose not to be. Instead, I choose Christ because I was tired of fighting with my life altogether. It took a quiet place by myself and tell Christ that I GIVE UP. I told Him I'm lost, confused, going insane, committ suicide, kill, angry, hating, getting into fights, believing in other gods..(I guess you know me and what I went thru). Basically, just ask God if He's real and to reveal Himself to you. I did and He answered, and since then, I choose Jesus.
