  • This and 'Suspended in Dusk' are my favorite TON songs (the 'Out of the Ashes' version). Listening to this live version makes me think of 'Run to You' by Bryan Adams when they go to the two breakdown parts. Kenny's tone is nearly identical to Adams' studio version of 'Run to You'.

Weird. They (TON) probably had a good laugh over that.

  • miss u Peter, miss the sense of life you put in your lyrics and notes.

  • it cannot be 1995 , 1 thing song, 2nd thing johny kelly , 3rd thing johny kelly and other guys look

  • @baldandevil 100% positive it was 1995.....I was there and still have the ticket stub. Opened for Queensryche.

  • @loungefly19 ok my fault ;)

cheers lucky guy to be at that concert:D

  • Miss Peter...

  • @PappeH yes it was :D

  • this was done on my 16th birthday. i wish i'd been there. thanks for posting. :)

  • Am I the only one who Moonspell reminds Type O Negative? No like that one is better than the other one... it's just that I think is Type O Negative like the best band of this gothic style before the 2000's and Moonspell like the best one of this age.

    Anyway, this performance is amazing!

  • What this bass?

  • @77profElton77

    ESH- Stinger

  • wtf? vinnie paul is the roadie of drums!

  • @celobutcher PanterA and Type O Negative were all good friends with eachother. They also toured alot. So im sure Type O was on tour with PanterA at this time..

  • when was this? I was around summer'08(ago-sep).... near???

  • @darkito81 This was recorded on July 18th, 1995 on Long Island, New York.

  • we miss you green man!! Never will there be another

  • where was this performance?

  • @darkito81 Jones Beach, Long Island. First song of the night. They opened for Queensryche. Lucky that I was there.

  • What is this music that they play the intro?

    thanks

  • @ricieri1991 the intro of "suspended in dusk"

  • And with no warning you were gone Peter..

  • I love this song. Always have. I think I'll pour a glass of wine and have a TON day. There are many days I just sit and listen to them all day long. Peter is missed. Wish I could see them live just one more time.

  • they all hated this song accept for Pete, i can't see why, the riff is unnaturally brilliant

  • Pete's voice just gives me goosebumps

  • solo was radical

  • I'm eating cucumbers and drinking wine,AND SUDDENLY IT'S ALL RUINED BY A DISLIKE!

  • too bad that one of the best bands is no more , ,

  • I thought this song really kicked butt on the "Mortal Kombat" soundtrack, so it's really a treat to see it performed live with a multi-keyboardist, which I'm really impressed as your sound is so guitar-oriented! Bravo and great job!

  • please check my type o negative videos as well

  • man I never knew they played blood and fire live???! FUCK YEAH!

  • How can his chest be so ripped but his arms be so thin... That's freaky. Great song though.

  • @Dystophiaxx too much benchpress

  • What's up with the weird... moving frame thing?

  • @yukifujita Image stabilisation.

Better a moving frame and people standing still than the other way around ;)

  • @Hyshinara Ohh. Nice feature! Now that I came to think about how the other way around would be, yeah. But hell, that was 1995, did you have that on your camera? Or it's a recent software feature? o.o

  • @yukifujita I'm not the poster/maker of this video, but I'm 99,99% sure it's a post-filming edit in video-edit software ;)

  • @Hyshinara Yeah I don't think that was even possible in 1995 lol

  • First time seeing Hickey with this guitar

  • Its funny how they even want to play that song, when everyone else in the band but Pete thinks its gay? God song though.

  • @Edhunterbasse Actually, it's the other way around, the rest of the band except for Pete thought it was gay, lol. He was the reason why they recorded the song and played it.

  • @ChemiKillWarfare93 Wasnt that what i wrote? Pete liked it, the rest didnt.

  • @Edhunterbasse Oh damn, lol, I seriously misread what you wrote and actually had it backwards. My bad dude. xD

  • @ChemiKillWarfare93 Thats ok, fuck were just here to listen to fucking awesome music (:

  • One of Type-O's best, this song.

  • those were the days !!!

  • This is when they opened for Queensryche. I saw this show but the one in NJ (which this may be?)

  • Thanks for upping this, my VHS version of this show is worn the hell out

  • I know you're fucking someone else, You can't die.

  • i love how Kenny prowls the stage at the beginning of the video.

also, i am positive that Peter's hair blew around even when there was no wind! lol

damnit Peter! you've really done it this time!

  • Great!!! Old times!!!

  • wow the breakdown (3:25) gave me chills, his voice is so beautiful.

  • Love how deep and rich his voice is. One of my favourite voices in the entire business. Rest in peace, Mr. Steel. You will be missed.

    Rip

  • @FutureWarhead The drum kit looks so darn cool!

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The part from 3:30 rocks hard...

The reason that they did not play this song in many many years was that some of the guys hated it. I think i was Josh?!? It is written in the interview in the Bloddy Kisses re-issue (the one with the bonus cd) booklet. A good read by the way...

    Thanks for posting..... Me like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is bas ass. i first heard this on the mortal kombat movie soundtrack awesome song

  • Thanks for sharing. Seriously...

  • Comment removed

  • Look at those bass bins.......4 double 18's double 10's........that's gotta be frickin loud on stage.......and that's right down my alley :D

  • This was Type O Negative at their peak - in terms of their abilities on stage. It's almost painful to atch, seeing all of them so young and in such good health (especially Pete - but they all look so young). It's so evident that 15 years certainly took a toll on them... and unfortunately, Pete paid the ultimate price.

Beautiful video, man. They should never have stopped playing this song, period.

  • why didnt they play this more. i can see not playin bloody kisses cause its long but this shits da bomb.

  • It's a good tune.

  • awesome!

  • this song is one of Pete's best, it just, fucking,. is .

  • He's playing his Esh! Sweet. I've never seen Blood & Fire live, so thank you.
