Good for him! The lionfish population is WAY too big! If we don't terminate the spiny farts, coral reef ecosystems will disappear! Yes, lionfish are EVIL! We need to decrease the population! Cutos to Lad!
@TwilightPrincessSage actually they are highly invasive, killing all native species fish fry, it is very important to kill them for the sake of other species in the area.
dam i would love one for my tank. but i don't think i could eat it the poison freaks me out i still cant eat puffer even though ive see people eat them.
@peplo6 uhhhhhhh lionfish are an invasive species and no natural predators, trust me i would love to eat a grouper, but its hard when the lionfish are eating all the fry. this is the only way to eradicate them,

@MsCute1221 you can still be stung while it is dead, unlike him i prefer to cut the barbs off before i fillet them just for an extra safety precaution.
@USNSarDiver lionfish are invasive species in most areas and compete with native fish species for food so people should actually grow fond of these meat looks real nice too
@USNSarDiver they arent game fish at all like you said, infact they just float there in front of you flaunting their spines. very easy kill shot but then again, they were unnaturally introduced into the bahamas where they now are killing off the natural fish and their young due and are over populated from having no natural predators so its advised that if you see one, and you have the means, you should kill it. big or small, eating it after or just dumping the carcass, kill em all
@noyzizi Thanks for pointing this out. Most people don't realize how detrimental this species is in some parts of the world because of their introductions.
if you are going to eat it, I see nothing wrong with killing a fish which has already lived a decent life in the wild. It probably had a chance to breed, etc. If only all food animals could have such a decent life prior to being slaughtered. THEY COULD if people would give them a break and stop being selfish and greedy.
Lionfish are an extremely invasive species in the gulf of mexico and the bahamas. They destroy many natural reefs and eat tons of tropical fish while having no natural predators. Kill as many as you want...
To all you animal freaks out there, this. is. not. animal. abuse! It is simply a skilled man showing how to fillet a lionfish, nothing more. I bet that none of you guys are even vegetarian. That fish had a nice life swimming in the ocean blue, and have you seen the living conditions for the poor cows and pigs not even to mention the chickens that YOU eat?! I personally have been a vegetarian for 7.5 of my 12 years of life. If I can deal with it, so can you!
@vegetariangoat PETA actually euthanised 90% of like, 10,000 animals, or even more! think of how many people the cows, chickens, and pigs would've fed that were killed by their "saviors"
@vegetariangoat I agree w/you somewhat but I feel pretty ridiculous being lectured about fish by a 12 year old vegetarian. Have you ever been fishing? Have you killed an animal for food? You didn't choose to be a vegetarian anyway. Your mommy & daddy just said "no more meat for you buddy". So, turn off the computer, grab a grilled cheese sandwich and do your homework. Friggin' doofus.
@eqsmooth We he is damn smart for a 12 year old. I doubt that you have ever killed an animal bigger than a fish for your own food and most people just don't get that chance anyways. Now why don't you act like a mature college grad and go do some work. It would be far more productive than making fun of someone younger than you.
@clown I grew up fishing for leopard shark/sturgeon/salmon/flounder & striped bass @ 38 degrees latitude. I've caught massive yellowtail off the coast of western Mexico. So Take your assumptions & shove them up your faggoty ass. I've filleted Halibut which have outweighed me by 50 lbs. Broiled it for restaurant patrons in WY & CO. I've caught wild salmon in Seward, Valdez & way up Honolulu Creek in Alaska. Watch yourself, fuckstick. If you like a lecture from a tween perhaps you're a pedophile.

@Celler2 Just a few updates for ya, lion fish is an invasive species to american waters, however they are doing very well around florida and are destroying native fish populations. Aside from that they are toxic... however they won't kill an adult sized individual.
