  • your knife is not very sharp !

  • i just caught a fresh lion fish and i made banana bread w it! it was awesome!

  • Ive never had anything other than river/lake fish before...

    This looks really delicious though.

  • SHARPEN YOUR KNIFE!

  • it's a Pelicaaannnnn!!

  • that sound in the back ground freak me off

  • Why not cut the spines off with wire cutters at the body and eliminate the possibility that something could happen?

  • 1:05 troll gull

  • IS IT REALLY SHOUTING?

  • the bird was laughing because the guy was cutting the fishes ass hole open

  • @vegetariangoat: damn you are only 12? profound words for a 12 year old. Respect.

  • how about I just eat tuna !!

  • 1:10 "and then cut, AK AK AK AK AAAAAK AAAAK AAAK AAAK AAAK!!!!!"

    looool

  • Good for him! The lionfish population is WAY too big! If we don't terminate the spiny farts, coral reef ecosystems will disappear! Yes, lionfish are EVIL! We need to decrease the population! Cutos to Lad!

  • @TwilightPrincessSage actually they are highly invasive, killing all native species fish fry, it is very important to kill them for the sake of other species in the area.

  • looks tasty.

  • dam i would love one for my tank. but i don't think i could eat it the poison freaks me out i still cant eat puffer even though ive see people eat them.

  • @andythai5 go suck your moms penis bitch hahaha

  • Don't u have somthing better else to eat besides a butiful lionfish go catch a king makcral or a grouper

  • @peplo6

    you spelled mackerel wrong dumbass.

  • @peplo6 uhhhhhhh lionfish are an invasive species and no natural predators, trust me i would love to eat a grouper, but its hard when the lionfish are eating all the fry. this is the only way to eradicate them,

  • Comment removed

  • @rbarnea the jews are causing absolute mayhem in america... can we eat them as well?

  • @ThirdRomeAquilo fuck u nigger

  • "We are going to make ceviche out of this fish" and he just fries it off lol.. LIAR!

  • i like

  • WTF!! can i have some? XD

  • Why the fuck would you fillet a 60 dollar fissh?

  • @Element75100 they are not 60 dollars when you take them out of the ocean, they are full of bacteria and would kill and fish you put in a tank

  • Time for a new knife...

  • @arodyanksfan just time to sharpen. I have a 25 year old knife passed down to me and I can still clean fish perfectly and cleanly due to good care.

  • Humans... I mean, that thing is like not even a bite and we STILL wanna eat it. (Carnivore here, btw)

  • @TwilightPrincessSage Talking like this about your fellow humans make you a terrorist! xD

  • That is an interesting species of fish to eat.

  • WTF..When did people start eating lion fish?

  • (yelling) YOU CUT THAT FISH DUDE YOU CUT THAT FISH :O)

  • what the hell!?!?!?!

  • this is disqusting....

  • bird: BITCH GIVE ME MY FISH!

  • so if you touch it after he is dead, nothing happens to you ? Or did you cut his venomous parts?

  • @MsCute1221 you can still be stung while it is dead, unlike him i prefer to cut the barbs off before i fillet them just for an extra safety precaution.

  • I'd love to see a Japanese Fugu chef prepare a lionfish. Such precision, such art!

  • keep the spines and make poison darts!

  • i mean, from all the different kinds of fishes available on the ocean... why the hell on would u eat a lion fish -__-

  • @ateffii Since they are a invasive species they are becoming over populated and we got nothing else to do with them lol

  • i never knew you can eat those...

  • Im with u mike lion fish arent game fish leave them alone

  • @USNSarDiver lionfish are invasive species in most areas and compete with native fish species for food so people should actually grow fond of these meat looks real nice too

  • @USNSarDiver they arent game fish at all like you said, infact they just float there in front of you flaunting their spines. very easy kill shot but then again, they were unnaturally introduced into the bahamas where they now are killing off the natural fish and their young due and are over populated from having no natural predators so its advised that if you see one, and you have the means, you should kill it. big or small, eating it after or just dumping the carcass, kill em all

  • @noyzizi Thanks for pointing this out. Most people don't realize how detrimental this species is in some parts of the world because of their introductions.

  • if you are going to eat it, I see nothing wrong with killing a fish which has already lived a decent life in the wild. It probably had a chance to breed, etc. If only all food animals could have such a decent life prior to being slaughtered. THEY COULD if people would give them a break and stop being selfish and greedy.

  • Lionfish are an extremely invasive species in the gulf of mexico and the bahamas. They destroy many natural reefs and eat tons of tropical fish while having no natural predators. Kill as many as you want...

  • won't you die

  • To all you animal freaks out there, this. is. not. animal. abuse! It is simply a skilled man showing how to fillet a lionfish, nothing more. I bet that none of you guys are even vegetarian. That fish had a nice life swimming in the ocean blue, and have you seen the living conditions for the poor cows and pigs not even to mention the chickens that YOU eat?! I personally have been a vegetarian for 7.5 of my 12 years of life. If I can deal with it, so can you!

  • @vegetariangoat PETA actually euthanised 90% of like, 10,000 animals, or even more! think of how many people the cows, chickens, and pigs would've fed that were killed by their "saviors"

  • @vegetariangoat plants are living things too you murderer!

  • @Norocmorth so what do you eat? dirt?

  • @swordsallday i eat meat and vegetables

  • @vegetariangoat Ontop of this, these fish are taking over in the Atlantic (where they arent native) so I say eat them up!

  • @vegetariangoat Nobody cares how old you are ok.

  • @vegetariangoat I agree w/you somewhat but I feel pretty ridiculous being lectured about fish by a 12 year old vegetarian. Have you ever been fishing? Have you killed an animal for food? You didn't choose to be a vegetarian anyway. Your mommy & daddy just said "no more meat for you buddy". So, turn off the computer, grab a grilled cheese sandwich and do your homework. Friggin' doofus.

  • @eqsmooth We he is damn smart for a 12 year old. I doubt that you have ever killed an animal bigger than a fish for your own food and most people just don't get that chance anyways. Now why don't you act like a mature college grad and go do some work. It would be far more productive than making fun of someone younger than you.

  • @clown I grew up fishing for leopard shark/sturgeon/salmon/flounder & striped bass @ 38 degrees latitude. I've caught massive yellowtail off the coast of western Mexico. So Take your assumptions & shove them up your faggoty ass. I've filleted Halibut which have outweighed me by 50 lbs. Broiled it for restaurant patrons in WY & CO. I've caught wild salmon in Seward, Valdez & way up Honolulu Creek in Alaska. Watch yourself, fuckstick. If you like a lecture from a tween perhaps you're a pedophile.

  • @vegetariangoat oh and he wasn't that skilled. he didn't even bother to sharpen that shit knife he was using.

  • Didn't know people ate them. what do they taste like?

  • do yall see that sad face on tooflyformoney?thats what happens when pointless argueing over a computer leads to

  • I would never use the spines at toothpicks. That seems like rolling the dice

  • This looks delicious

  • @TwilightPrincessSage apology not accepted, you Psychopath.

  • you got my respect mr. because in puerto rico. there lion fish every where but i live them alone

  • @TwilightPrincessSage Oh wow I spelled something wrong and you pull out the fucking Dictionary, does that give you some sense of intelligence or something? and caring about a human life more important that some stupid fish. If your going to be like this you can take your misanthropy somewhere else, maybe some vegan video. And maybe I will sue you for not being in your natural territory, the kitchen. So just listen up bitch do you role in life, and get the fuck off YouTube.Already to many bitches

  • @TwilightPrincessSage you retarded. You contradicted everything you just said. How can you care about how he killed something than wish death upon him? Are you mentally ill or just that stupid?

  • nono nom nom nom no nom

  • Fuuuuck I would never eat that thing, I would want it in my aquarium!

  • Nice going on the Alla-Clad pans... Gott love them.

  • Theyre an invasive species in many areas and feed on many native species, so people spearfish and eat them as a means of reducing their populations

  • does it taste good?

  • I never understood this. "OMG a deadly fish LET'S FIND OUT HOW WE CAN EAT IT, many will die in the process but we must, coz there is absolutely no other fish to eat that is much greater is size and has no poison. I rather struggle with a fish that is a size of a pack of smokes and take a risk of death so I can eat this fish, because it testes like FIIIIIISH"

  • @Celler2 they're not deadly. i've been stung by a volitan before, it's more irritating than anything.

  • @kevinbenader Why? WHY ?? WHY? WHY?....Its just fish. I don't get it. Why not just eat any other fish that tastes absolutely the same and has no poison in it. There are even better testing fish out there.

  • @Celler2 Probably because they are a pest. Rather than just killing it, you can use it for food. Waste not, want not.

  • @Celler2 Just a few updates for ya, lion fish is an invasive species to american waters, however they are doing very well around florida and are destroying native fish populations. If people can eat them they get fished... if they get fished we are helping restore the natural balance of fish around florida. Aside from that they are toxic... however they won't kill an adult sized individual.

  • @herzogf22 Good to know, then lets eat them suns of bitches. Although I would disagree that that the fish is the problem though, or some other fish is in some kinda of danger. Fish been around for far longer than we have, and I am sure they will be fine. I am just as equally sure that some way down the line we had something to do with the problem to begin with. We messed up somewhere and the fish moved to a new place. But that is a whole another argument.

  • this is like eating my pet fish

  • straight up. i was scared as fuck for this guy .

  • this fish sale 400 $

  • @vahan1990 and is speared for free :)

  • why wud u cut up such a beautiful fish hahaha id love to have some one day

  • Why dosnt he just cut off the fins first!? Duhhh

  • @kicknbazz1615 yeah thats what i do lol

  • What a beautiful fish... why would you fillet it? just get some salmon or trout to eat not an exotic lion fish!

  • @CreeperBrosss they're not exotic.. they're a pest

  • @CreeperBrosss in florida ppl have been throwing their pet lionfish into the ocean and now there are tons! yes very beautiful exotic fish but I'd say ppl should eat as many as they can.

  • @CreeperBrosss cuz theyre not supposed to be here. in the atlantic, the only good lionfish is a dead lionfish.

  • @CreeperBrosss there are no "salmon" or "trout" any where near lionfish habitat in the tropics. yes they are a beautiful fish, but they have become a grave danger to native species and should all means be eradicated.

  • @Titusvillesurfer im good at filleting fish but i just never fillet a lion fish :)

  • OMG, this is bad ass! Totally risking your life bro, I feel yah!@ You seem like a pretty extreme person dawg, you ever come up my way we can go base jumping or maybe punch some dogs or something.

Stay extreme bro, I'm loving it!

  • @jjjooommm222 actually its not really life risking, if you get stung, your infected area justs swells up and hurts for a few hours.

  • one person is a lion fish

  • I hear the fish screaming

  • The comments are just brimming with ignorance

  • y the fuk would u eat a exotic lionfish y not a reguler fish that is a bigger meal

  • @rashersbiggestfan They are an invasive species around florida, they are ruining the ecosystem. When I catch them they get a knife through the skull and then I just throw em back.

  • @234trusto * Edible.... :D

  • When we catch them we just burn them in the diesel barrell when we get back to camp.

  • I've found that if you cut the skin off fish as opposed to peeling you eliminate the fishy taste that remains in the membrane of the skin and is not removed by peeling or pulling it off

  • Hello wittekind6,

According to the REEF website, lionfish are "Equipped with venomous dorsal, ventral and anal spines, which deter predators and can cause painful wounds in humans."

  • Is it just the top where the spines have the toxin?

  • @wittekind6 no... the side also has venom... I experienced a sting from the side fins

  • very nice !!!

  • i dont know about eating this fish i would rather have him as my pet, but dont get me wrong i love fishing and eating fish

  • @yamahschector It is a fast-growing and a detrimental species to the fish population in the Caribbean and the East Coast so I wouldn't mind having it on my dinner plate everyday.

  • Yumm Yumm. Link to the cookbook is at GuyHarveyMagazin (dot) com

  • Yumm Yumm.

  • i would cut off the stings and than fillet the fish so i wont get stung or any thing by the poison thumb up if u agree

  • @sirhan234 I was wondering why he did not do that...probably because of a relatively dull knife

  • @sirhan234 Maybe if you aren't pro like this guy.

  • @TitusvilleSurfer i am not a pro like this guy coz i dont fillet this kind of fish id keep it in my aquarium

  • @TitusvilleSurfer Or maybe he just got stung 50 billion times, but was like: MUST NOT SCREAM!!!! :D

  • @Hx470 then he probly die =\

  • @sirhan234 and then you wont get to cook it

  • yes very good !!! got one today one more off our reefs ;P

  • you guys eat lion fish !!!!!
