I already post several places about the history view of Tibet. Let me post it again here. Tibet was invaded by Mongolian and Manchu in history. In chinese history, they said it's Yuan and Qing. The interesting part is, during these time, Chinese people thought they were ruled by foreign country. China just regain the power after these foreign government. From Tibet point is view. They think they were invaded during these time. And hope to be independent. Then PRC invaded again.

Tibetans and Mongolians are diff race, diff language base. diff culture. The others are like the Han. Yuan was NOT a CHinese dynasty, it was Mongolian and they conquered you all. Thanks to the Tibetan Buddhist monks the Yuan leaders were converted to more peaceful ways and loosened their grip on the continent. Get your history straight! Or did Mao burn that book too?

i went to UK in 2005 for 2 months spends 500 pounds there.a great memory, i really like there. rich culture, the people are friendly especially the old ppls even tho the younger ppl they have somewhat discrimination over us.

As a chinese american who has been to China, I can say it is complicated. Tibet is part of China, but the communist party in China has no respect for human rights. I will not be proud of China until the communist party is gone, and the red flag is gone.

Yes it does belong to them, but now they have equal rights to the White Americans, think about it, China does not obey Human Rights in Tibet and so should leave now and never return. The Americans, French, British, Germans all obey Human Rights and so when they invade the people's rights are respected. China however marched into an unarmed pacifist country, killed and tortured and tried to change the people's lives.

Recently, the Australian Prime Minister graciously apologized to the aborigines for the wrongs that were done to them in the past. Not too long ago, there were still slaves in the US. And the way the native American Indians were treated? The past decades has seen much violation of human rights, all for economic gains and for power, in Asia by the colonising European powers.

Who cares if the Tibetans got some money/support from US, it's meaningless in the present situation of Chinazis persecution of Tibetans. Tibet only is "part" of China because of the brutal occupation, like Hitler of Europe. If you use the past to justify, one could say all of western China is part of Tibet's "family." The least you nazis could do is grant REAL autonomy - is a little buddhist spirituality going to threaten your brave PLA (good at killing students & monks & kidnapping 6 yr olds)?

Between 1957-1970, Tibetan government in exile received $1.7 million ($11.6 million dollar in 2006) a year from CIA. The money is used to pay the terrorists activities against China .
Dalai Lama was getting his payroll by CIA till 1974, reportedly received $180,000 annually ($897,000 dollars in 2006), the funds were paid to him personally.

China has poured much resources, tens of billions of yuan, in trying to develop Tibet in trying to erase poverty. How many countries in the world do this for the ethnic minority n their country? Why would I make up something like this? There would be no point at all. Do your research and you will find that Tibetans have been oppressed, tortured, and killed by the Communist Chinese Government since 1959. Tibetan culture is disappearing in Tibet and that is exactly what the Communist Chinese Government wants.
However, even if they destroy all the texts and monasteries, and kill the people, they will never be able to destroy the truth of the Tibetan teachings.
