does anyone know where to find the sequence settings menu like in FCP7? you know for changing codecs, frame sizes, field order, RGB 8 bit or YUV 10 bit rendering etc.? If I could find this menu, I would switch over from FCP7 in a second. whats scaring me is that I'm not seeing that these options exist. I have to be assured that I'm getting top notch quality. Also when I input my 720 prores HQ footage it always looks blurry when I hit the play button. then looks sharp again when I hit stop. y?
Let's say you have multiple clips in the timeline, shot during different days and angles but on the same location. Do you have a nice trick do make every clip unified with the color correcting?
Very useful tutorial Dan. It answered the exact question I had tonight - which was "how do I add color selectively to a video whose original is black and white". The bit about masks and keyframes is what did the trick. You might consider adding "selective colorization" to the tags for this one. Thanks for putting it up!
I've watched about half of your tutorials now and they are amazing! Do you have a paypal account or something where I can kick you some cash for all your help?
I've watched every single one of your tutorials tonight! You really have a great voice for voice overs. :] Keep up the tutorials! I would like to see more advanced creative tutorials that you are working on with your on films.
Your tutorials are really helpful, thanks. Some of my colleagues laugh at me when they catch me using this program. There is something I really like about FCP X.
Wow..Thanks you so much I'm so loving your trainings…and it's wonderful to hear your humor coming through….I just gave a big laugh to your trolls comment…:P
@ThePlusButton U need to find fire stock footage, and drop it on top of your first clip in the second layer and change the transfer mode to screen or add etc, and then keyframe the position to follow your hands.
@AlexusFXHD looks like u deleted ur comment about motion and calling me stupid, but I just thought I might ask you to re read my comment... I said features of "Final Cut Pro X", not motion, which does not come along with final cut now as they are sold separately. I, for one, would much rather use after effects anyways as the old motion that i have from final cut studio seemed kinda crappy after using after effects for so long. As for me, im switching to Premeire for the whole workflow.

Thank you for a great tutorial. Can we apply the corrections we make to other clips in the time line or must we do them indivdually?

@actingzach he meant motion tracking,,if you keyframe i dont think that'll look as natural

@AlexusFXHD Oh, yeah, with that great motion tracking software that comes along with all the other pro features of final cur pro x. *sarcasm*
actingzach 7 months ago
