@officialthetramp what pickups do you have? i bought this guitar before i found out Josh uses it for some songs, and as i looked into that, i read a bunch of people saying the stock pickups are shitty for how good the guitar is (stock pickups which i still have on it and have had since i got it like 5 years ago). then i lost interest because i don't know what difference different pickups make, or which ones fit which guitars, or how to physically replace them

@officialthetramp by two, you mean one for the neck and one for the bridge? and whats the difference between pickups that are the two black bars and pickups that are the full metal rectangle? websites selling the SH-1 picture them as the two black bars, but all the videos on youtube are people with the metal rectangles, which look identical to the ones on my Dot now.

if you couldn't tell by childlike descriptions of them, i literally know nothing about pickups

@officialthetramp and, upon a very superficial amount of research, i think the metal rectangles are just pickup covers, if ever you were curious. did you already know that? or did you get the pickups installed by someone else and they didn't put the covers back on? i guess now i have to decide if i should have them on over the SH-1s or not, or see if it's even an option

I think Lanegan was raised on whiskey and crushed gravel. One of those people where it's like, if he wasn't a musician, what could he do? Can you imagine walking into a Starbucks or something and Lanegan's like "can I help you?" in his craggly dehydrated corpse voice? People would be like "ya know.... on second thought..." and just run.

PS - I think the live version of this tune is one of a few that are way better than the album, especially the interlude. Percussion makes everything better.
