my best friend thinks im a bitch if i want to have 'alone' time. im a single mom with 4 animals, im never alone. drama or no drama maybe i want to just chill with my lil family and then do some jewelry once every one is in bed, it seems to blow his mind. hell maybe i want to look at y.t. vids. hey with this much going on i look forward to not being bothered.

It's insane, right? I used to love staying home sometimes to do art and watch 40's movies alone. Alone, because none of my (then) 'friends' could appreciate it. The 10pm phone call to hang out was always a drama call, lol.

shh dont tell but i dont usually answer my phone for that reason. not that i dont love the phone, i do, i am a girl its in my blood... but i dont care to be bothered with shit. yes im a proud member of the bitch club! lol

oh oh totally agree........sometimes I really need my space and when that phones rings I just swear a blue streak. I work with a woman like that. EVERYING under the sun is important. Important b/c if she doesn't blurt it our right now, she'll forget. Then she'll blame someone else (usually me) for her shitty business planning. I love having you around too! xo

Oh i value my time to myself, like you i am surrounded by people all day at work, and when that's over it's so nice to be 'with' my husband, but 'alone' doing what i want to do and yes like you when the phone rings i sometimes feel like not even answering it

I understand entirely. Everyone needs time to themselves and when it's a partnership, then they need time to themselves as well. I'm quite good with my own company as long as I am busy, but most of the time, due to family committments I have places to be, which makes my "me" and "our" time even more important.

Very well said! Time alone should not be seen as a selfish want. It's a basic need for some people, I believe. I need time to reflect and just be.
