I've always thought that he had the best voice in the group. He may even be the best song writer. Of course, it's just my opinion and I could be wrong. Of course, when they added Young to the group, all bets are off.
I love this man! I saw Buffalo Springfield last month and waited by the tour bus for hours before trying to get Mr. Stills to sign a photo of him from 1976. Someone finally took pity on me and took the photo inside for him to sign. When he came out he said "Stephen said he really likes your picture and could you email a copy?" This photo is my natural treasure!
The dispute with Warner Brothers, filed through YouTube to allow the video under Fair Use Copyright Law, was successful. This video is in the public domain.
For all your glorification of stills first album, naming all the people who played on the album, hopefully you are aware at that time that many upcoming artists were playing with everyone else, just to pay their rent.
Also, Stills was facinated with Mama Cass. He idolized her.
Don't get me wrong, I own all that Stills has done,
Too bad the enormous egos of Stills and Young couldn't co-exist.
thank you so much for this upload Clay. i remember Nederland, Colorado and Stephen's ranch a mile or two ouside of town. i used to park outside his ranch and try to catch a glimpse of him and Joni. now i live in Viet Nam and it still sounds good 40 years later. thank you for going through the trouble of filing the dispute. alot of people thank you.
I remember my ex playing this all the time when we were living together in college. This music takes me right back there....to the 70s and that place....what a great time it was....great song....one of the best times of my life.
Absolutely brilliant..... his greatest song EVER!!!!!! I tried to upload this THREE TIMES but it got blocked every time. I'm glad it's open to all for the appreciation this gem of a song deserves!
Yeah, that first video was mine, too. It was removed by Warner Bros when they were fighting with youtube for more money. This time it's in the public domain as a historical document, protected by fair use copyright law.
I just filed a dispute to allow this video under fair use copyright law for historical and educational purposes.
Songs like this one, with historical signifigance, timeless music and the involvement of some of the most famous and talented musicians of the time, are worth the effort...
@clayopalstar Congrats on uploading this gem. I tried about 8 months ago and got blocked!!! You were more persistent and fought for the good taste of lovers of great music like this. This is part of our heritage and should be free to be enjoyed by all. Tremendous song!!

@frymahhide1982 Totally agree. A gem (should've been at least about 2 minutes longer though as it reaches the climax too soon).

Thanks for uploading this. It was once on YT and disappeared. My favorite song off this album...along with "Church", "Black Queen".....
Still have my record and now CD; fell in love with it and still listen. Great collaboration of musicians on it as well.
"When I get restless, what can I do?" I listen to you, Stephen.

When Stephen sings "me and the raven," he is singing about Rita Coolidge.
She is also mentioned as "Raven" (an indian girl sent in by the posse) in the song "Cowboy Movie" by David Crosby.
