After all, since Carrie loves Big, Aidan is right, he doesn't have to trust her. And if you know you love someone and you don't think about anyone else in your life and you want just to stay with him/her till the end of time, well... you get married. That's it.
Normally I dislike Carrie but she has a point: "I love you but I can't marry you to make you trust me." She's absolutely right, Aidan shouldn't pressure her...eek!
the most crazy thing is that when Carrie found out that big was gonna marry natasha and not her instead she behaved like a crazy woman and now in her relationship with aidan she acts exactly like Big and refuses to marry him in the end..
If Carrie never wanted to marry Aidan, then I think the way she was behaving is unfair - she was leading the guy on, because she didn't want to be alone. I don't hate Carrie, but I don't like the way she seems to like the "drama" and a guy to treat her hot and cold. I think this sends a wrong message about what's supposed to be a good relationship.
@TheMrsGandy exactly lol, great point. either season 5 or 6, when carrie was dating Berger. so at tops, that's 2 years...not a long time to find someone, marry, and have a baby.

she didnt want to break up she just wasnt ready to get married the next episode she asks him to stay forever but he says he cant stay. She just never let in him and he got tired of that i think. She did treat him badly and deserved the way he treated her when they got back together but she honestly did love him

I mean just a little bit ago he told her he understood she needed time bfore getting married, and then he pressures her to suddenly get married after the party. That's messed up in itself. Plus he only wants to marry her because he thinks it will make their relationship secure. Bad idea. Aiden is screwed up too! And clingy, ew

@xxxtaneciaxxx Lol, not it's not. At Charlotte's wedding, she was wearing a short cocktail-length dress that was not form fitting and her hair was just in a plain bun. Here she is wearing a long gown which is very form sitting and her hair is up, but in some weird concoction. Not the same at all.

I thought Aidan was a more real relationship. But the story was never meant to run this long. Seasons 1-4 was like Bushnell's book.. a time in life when u make bad but exciting choices until u work thru problems. Big was that and they couldn't continue the show w/o the premise. So they substituted a faery tale.
In earlier seasons it was clear what Big was about, thus the break-thru moment in bed w Dr. G's patient (Jon Bonjovi), "I pick the wrong men."
That very last seen starting with, "There are some walls you can push thru and others you can't..." was one of the most emotional in the entire show for me. You knew it was probably coming but you didn't expect it THEN.
