How many years did you stay? I'm planning on doing EPIK but I don't know the language and am kinda concerned about being able to buy groceries and simple stuff like that.

i went on a football trip from okinawa to camp walker and just by my experiences, i hated korea. maybe it is better in some ways but the people are just fucking assholes there compared to the japanese.
I heard the girls in Daegu are the best in South Korea. But there are many weird criminals in Daegu, too. Ask some Korean, especially not from Daegu, why there are many weird/big crimes in Daegu. They'll start laughing. Daegu is somewhat called 'Gotham Daegu.'
I teach at the Yale FOreign Language Institute. They are a pretty big school in Daegu with 5 or 6 different locations. So far (8 months) Korea has been fantastic. Lots to see and do. Day to day life is pretty easy to with lots of western restaurants and English speakers around.
