Listen to Asha and be honest. She is better than Lata or at least equal. The duet is just too short. It should have been 5 minutes long at least. The tune is great. The music composer is tone deaf and mediocre like all the rest of that era. They gave Talat hardly 900 songs between 1944 and 1976. They relegated Asha to a distant second place and gave unduly large praise to Lata. They robbed the Indian music for ever. They should have given Talat at least ten thousand songs and given Asha equal p

Yes, Harish, music director Hafiz Khan and singer Khan Mastana are the same person. This is also clearly mentioned in Pankaj Raag's authentic work 'Dhuno Ki Yaatra' on the Bollywood music directors.

Hafiz khan was the first cousin of aftaab e sitar ustad Vilayat knan. Hwe was the son of the great surbahar and sitar player wahid khan and the grand son of ustad imdad khan sahab. Hafiz khan also cut many excellent gramophone discs of sitar.
