This event was on the 17th of June 2009. I remember it well beacuse it was both the first Australian B-Boy event I attended AND it was my 18th birthday! I asked everyone in my crew if they would like to come with me but they were all busy.....
So I ended up going with my Mum.
We went to the cinema but unfortunately the film was sold out. We then went to China town for dinner while we were waiting, my Mum bought me my first (legal) drink, which was some asian alcohol that I don't remember.
We then went to the Metro theatre to watch the live show.
The show was running a little late as all the performers were coming over from the movie. My Mum and I were standing next to some French men, who thought they were actually lining up to see planet B-Boy. When they found out they were not going to watch the movie they were dissapointed, and saying the French equivalent of "this is going to be gay".
But they were in for a huge surprise. The Performance that night was fricken Sick!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what they were worried about. They were up off there seat cheering everytime someone cut some sick power.
I was also amazed, the only other break show I had seen was "BreakOut" which was performed by some NY American dancers. The Australian battles were 100 times more skillful and a 1000 times more entertaining.
