I heard that each Star Trek had a central theme, and TNG was about Diplomacy, while Voyager was about adventure and survival. TNG had alot of diplomacy and politics to it. Voyager was more to adventure and fantasy and finding a way back home.

I like adventure and survival. That's prolly why Voyager was my favourite, and my friend's favourite.

Exactly. While Enterprise did not have the same look or feel as the other series, fans should at least be grateful that it's a new Star Trek series that will eventually be included in the Star Trek mythos. Admiral Archer is even referenced in the 2009 Star Trek movie!

I must admit that I was one of the sceptical ones and simply didn't watch it. It wasn't due to supposed errors it just didn't interest me . However I recently watched both seasons and enjoyed them both. The Xindi Arc was my favourite but I also enjoyed 'A Mirror Darkly'.

I was skeptical at first too, seeing the timeline, I thought the technology would be too primitive, but since it was a Star Trek series I gave it a shot.

Altho The Next Generation series was my first Star Trek, that didn't appeal much to me. It was actually Voyager that got me interested in Star Trek in the first place. So without Voyager, I wouldn't have been interested in Enterprise. It's not as good as Voyager but still ok.

Voyager had a terribly stupid ending by the way...

I agree with you guys for the most part. I'm a 'purist' to a degree but I still enjoy Voyager.

I take each series for what it is. DS9 and VOY are my favourites followed closely by TNG. TOS is tolerable and I hate ENT...But those are just my opinions.

I wish people would just form their own opinions and like what they feel is worthwhile instead of relying on popular consensus to tell them which Star Trek series are worth watching.

Unfortunately that's what everyone is doing right now; relying on a popular consensus, and then even decrying a series even though they haven't watched it! Some even base their negative opinions based on articles from Wikipedia.

But worst of all is how almost everyone seems to rely on critics to tell what movies or series are worth watching.

The most recent Transformers movie has the wierdest reception, but the best example of personal opinion vs critic opinion. Bad reviews, great ticket sales

Yeah, basing your opinion solely off of what others have said prior is really just reasserting their opinions and not your own; even if you agree with them. If you can't substantiate your claims without your own words then it's not your opinion.

Critics are guides, sometimes, they write thought provoking insights into the creators of a book/film/game whatever but typically its just another opinion. (albeit a well worded one.)

If you find it intriguing, watch it. If not, don't. =p

Wasn't this a time of uncertainty and turmoil in the formation of the UFP? They should have focused on how hostile the universe is and the failure of diplomacy without the UFP.

Creating enemies with the Klingons and the like...that would have been a much better series.

@TerrawindX2 I don't consider myself a purist by any means-- but more a fan. My problem with Voyager is that the first few seasons were REALLY strong (and I mean really strong), but after Seven of Nine showed up, none of the characters-- other than she, the Doctor and Janeway-- grew. Paris watched cartoons, Chakotay did nothing but scream "Red Alert!" and the rest of the characters were regulated to the background.

You could of added them in, if yo ucreated them and put them in a diff house then used the Tombstone of Life and death to add neighbour to family and after going through the list of neighbours you'd find Kes and Neelix and added them.
