Great songs,...Yiri Yiri Bon song author is the great rumbero, Silvestre Mendez,(several singers had recorded the song beside Benny More),..(Gerry Zaragemca is a world's known authority in Afrocuban Percussion and Music).
no the first song is a great rendition of Caramelo. The second is Yiri Yiri Bon, a Beny More song. Tito puente and Fania did a three album tribute to Beny and that version is on the second. Good luck finding any of those on vinyl or disc. Now the third song if anyone can help me on that one...I have just about everything Celia did and I have never heard that tune. Anyone?
also it's in a tito puente cd dedicated to the music of Benny More.
by the way, there's nothing wrong with the statement "to puerto ricans, she's a legend." she is. puerto ricans aren't stupid. they're very aware Celia is cuban. look people, enought of the cuban vs. puerto rican shit. in this country, we're all spics. they don't care about our old squabbles and rivalries. no coman tanta mierda.
YAH ITS SAD! i had to take along time to find my users name and password?! but lets set something stright!? SHES CUBAN! international but nothing to do with rican!! and next to nothing!? W/e in the cuban soul she sold millions even when she started!
Always one of the few famous latinas and famous latina performers that was never afraid of or in denial of her African ancestry and never tried to make herself seem what she wasn't.....she was talented and a great singer.
Because thanks to the fucking revolution ways of thinking, if you defect from cuba, you are considered a traitor, an anti-cuban, and an anti-revolutionare. so shes highly known in the puerto rican community
