a large part of what Jones says is propaganda and rhetoric. he sells books on his website that describe how Obama and Clinton are reptilian aliens.... need i say more?
This highlights one of the problems with some conspiracy theorists method of thought. 'Chomsky questioned my claim about gun crime & differs with me about gun ownership, thus he is part of the NWO etc' Jones could put himself in the same scale, What does listening to Alex Jones do to fight the NWO? Nothing, it directs people into spending their time listening to much nonsense with no solution. Its clear that the real threat to the NWO is political Islam not radio ranters & alien lizard believers
AJ is just a big baby. Chomsky behaved like a complete gent throughout and even cajoled AJ along with his private obsessions and when they had one minor sideline disagreement he completely turns on him. One things for sure you don't want this kind of person running your country either. He'd be like fucking Stalin. He'd have Chomsky eradicated from history for the sin of not going along with his own version of reality. This man is therefore a FASCIST as bad as those he says he opposes. Dangerous.
@Freidlon7 The fact is that AJ constantly pushes ideals of liberty, whilst Chomsky is on record as supporting regimes the engaged in genocide. Chomsky is far closer to Stalinism than Jones. You are just another psychopathic leftist intent on mass-murder. I bet you are fat too.
@superiorOpinions No one here sounds more of a psycho than you right now - not even Alex Jones. Ten average fat people are less of a waste of space than one maniac who considers it productive to verbally assault people on Youtube - I mean, dude, what are you trying to achieve here; do you suppose you are convincing anybody?
@superiorOpinions The net is full of playground bully's like you. Pathetic. Just like your hero here. He lost the argument so he resorts to name calling like a child. Superior opinions? What is your opinion? Don't you have something better to do with your time than to sit around and be abusive, no friends to play with? It's kids like you that go on to make up gangs like the Nazi's. 'I bet your fat too' Does your mother know your on the internet unsupervised?
@Freidlon7 "The net is full of playground BULLY'S like you"?
"'I bet YOUR fat too"?
Jesus, did you study linguistics under Chomsky? Or are you just a spastic? Don't you have something better to do than mercilessly abuse the English language in public?
You are welcome to disagree with everything I say, but I demand that you apologize to everyone else for your crimes against language.
Someone who sides with either Chomsky or Jones surely misses how wrong they both are in some areas - and that they are accurate in others. I cringe when Jones speaks about socialism and religion, and I cringe when Chomsky talks about Kennedy or 911. But Jones is fine regarding FEMA camps or surveillance, and Chomsky is fine regarding Latin America and anarchy. Grain of salt, people...
This is just disgusting ... Alex Jones, even if Chomsky was wrong (someone should definitely look that up (me, maybe) mustn't have talked to him like that ... he is insulting his audience and his guest.
@GentDaniel Google "chomsky wrong about language" and take your pick. As for his awful "genocide is cool as long as it is not done by the US" politics, it speaks for itself.
Being from England, I can tell you that we have very strict legislation on guns and have done for many years. Everything Alex Jones said is nothing short of ridiculous, especially his little comment at the end. Tells you all you need to know about him in my humble opinion. Chomsky on the other hand is a genious and simply schooled him.
Where did he get that bit about people in the uk having handguns until a few years ago? It's complete rubbish. Outside of a hundred or so IRA and maybe a hundred 'top' criminals, virtually all guns in the UK were farmers' shotguns and gamekeepers' rifles just like now.
Then, as now, the average UK person who saw a handgun would immediately think "illegal" to a high level of certainty, and be correct.
@ImMichaelTaylor It wasn't rubbish there has been systematic anti gun legislation, over the last few decades, every time there is an incident Michael Ryan, then Dunblane etc. People could belong to gun clubs before as a sport etc. Now even olympic competitors have to leave the country for training. This legislation weakens people against the oppression of the State & other criminals, criminals on the other hand, will continue to use guns as does the State.
@unseenocean "This legislation weakens people against the oppression of the State"
For that to be true guns would have to strengthen you against the state. I don't believe that. All the state has to do is make most people comfortable and they'll only use their guns on each other. The most powerful weapon you have against the state is simply saying "no I won't", because everything they do is driven by the effort the population expend on the state's behalf.
@ImMichaelTaylor You are not thinking deeply, what is a civil war or an armed revolution? If the State decides to be a lot more aggressive you will realise the advantage a State has given itself against its own people by disarming them. Look at how the ATF suffered in Waco. The State should not have the exclusive right to possess weapons, the States forces are not there protecting you at all times and they often attack you. People should have fair chance to self defence
@unseenocean "People should have fair chance to self defence"
Armed revolutions only work when the majority of the subjugated people have an awareness of their predicament. Non-armed revolutions only work when the majority of the subjugated people have an awareness of their predicament.
Armed revolutions rarely work when the majority of the subjugated people don't have an awareness of their predicament. So I think it's the awareness rather than the arms that does it.
@unseenocean (continued) Typically the guns get involved later, once the revolution is a foregone conclusion because of the awareness of the population.
And typically we use a different word for an attempted revolution with only guns and no awareness; massacre. Usually a massacre of civilians, occasionally a massacre of police or soldiers, always a massacre of ordinary citizens, never a massacre of the actual government until after the awareness revolution succeeds.
From a technical standpoint I agree that murdering your fellow citizens, who are every bit the victim of the government's control as you, can be used to communicate with your government. My point is it's not the most powerful one, and since you rarely get much mileage out of the guns until after you've won with awareness, you only need the guns for personal 'protection' during, and revenge afterwards.
Alex Jones is a propagandist just like the corporate media are propagandists. If you listen to his show you can just tell he's stretching the truth or outright lying to get you to believe his conspiracy theories. Listening to Chomsky was like a breath of fresh air.
@umbra88 Its possible that he is, but was quite rude to invite him then speak to him and about him like that, Alex Jones could also be suspected of what he accused Chomsky of, indeed Alex Jones has no alternative system either. Alex Jones has the childish & irrational perspective that EVERYTHING is a conspiracy. He is not that far from David Icke, minus the human lizards, aliens and infinite nonsense philosophy.
Jones is intimidated in this interview as though he wants to one up Chomsky. I don't know anyone who can one up Chomsky. And if I were to speculate, Jones wouldn't be on the list.
Alex Jones is an absolute liar....we've never had guns in the UK - except for the occasional farmer or licencee...and no....there's no way there's more shootings in London than there are in washington....we're lucky in the UK...."englands crime rate has doubled since they took away all the guns?" Alex Jones is making this up as he goes along...what an absolute liar! It's damn difficult to get hold of guns in the uk...and Chomskys right - Alex Jones is lying..
Alex Jones is a twat. You don't invite a guest on, then ask him questions in a psuedo hostile manner and then send him off with a kick in the ass, especially if he's better versed, better educated and better respected than you.
I live in London and I can tell people this: gun crime is virtually non-existent in the UK. There were 42 gun related deaths in 2008 in the WHOLE UK according to the Independent newspaper. I wonder how many there were in Washingston DC.
Jones if you read comments: Did you take Chomsky after he left? Wake up! the power elites were here always!! intelectuals supported them but publicly!!! its called paranoia which you claim Chomsky has - to say every day to the faces of tens/hunderets of people lie? Do y really think Chomsky lives with secret intention for this long time, sacrifices his honor for the sake of ..NWO which is abstract even for you? Who would you think lead and how would you think NWO would be structuralised?
This is utterly ridiculous. Jones is just picking until he can stir up some kind of disagreement...then takes his worst shots after Prof. Chomsky is off air. Pretty low.
Anybody that's part of this charlatan's "audience" has serious self esteem issues. There's no difference between this Jones character and any radio or TV evangelist selling snake oil religion. People follow them around like cult followers. That's why its such a good racket to be in.
London's Evening Standard reported that armed crime, with banned handguns the weapon of choice, was "rocketing." In the two years following the 1997 handgun ban, the use of handguns in crime rose by 40 percent. From April to November 2001, the number of people robbed at gunpoint in London rose 53 percent.
From 1991 to 1995, crimes against the person in England's inner cities increased 91 percent. And in the four years from 1997 to 2001, the rate of violent crime more than doubled.
@Silicondoc So what? Jones was still wrong on a basic fact that he could have established in nanoseconds had he any interest what-so-ever in accuracy. Which of course he hasn't because his job is not to inform, merely stroke off retards by pandering to their fucking psychosis. Hey Jones fucks, you are the problem, you are the reason that people chose to the state, because the state says you are the alternative. STFU!

Jones is calling him sir through the interview, then they disagree on one thing so he mocks Chomsky with ad hominum attacks! No debate or fact checking (Jones is wrong) - just infantile name calling.
People take time to find info away from the mainstream, but get this kind of tabloid Fox News bias crap. So you get some followers who devolve into sheep with ad hominum attacks and labeling anyone not in their herd. Seen it on RonPaul forums, ZeroHedge, Max Keiser... Nowhere is safe from idolatry.
I live in England - Guns were not legal in 2004, nor at any point during my life. I have never seen a gun on a civilian and I have only seen police with them a handful of times.
disgusted with Alex Jones... what a jerk I wont watch another of hismovies again. He couldnt hold his own in a discussion whith Chomsky so he strated insulting him when he was off the air.... , Consipracy and anti-establishment philosophy Jones way or the highway. Realy sad
Wow, if this doesn't discredit Jones I don't know what will. What an arrogant ass. His supposed "facts" always seemed to me as half-truths without any substantial evidence- pumped up into fear-mongering in order to cash in on paranoia. But to see him treat someone like Chomsky so awfully-and right behind his back-is really repulsive. I hope more devotees of Jones will see this, and realize what kind of person they've been supporting.

Why Chomsky would lower himself by going on Jones' show is outside my comprehension. Chomsky=genius. Jones=loony conspiracy theorist.
This "new world order" conspiracy talk gets on my nerves. It makes me wonder if any of these hacks ever read a history book. There is absolutely nothing "new" about the privilege of power. There is no overarching conspiracy, just many small conspiracies aimed at either gaining or sustaining political and economic power. It has always been thus and always will be.
Noam Chomsky spoke with AJ like an adult spoking with a kid and then the cheap Jones comment at the end is really disgusting. AJ needs a shield from Manufacturing Consent because it's all about his radio show, prison planet, nwo, god this, iluminati that, etc
sorry for the spam everybody, but one more is that i am now starting to question alex jones intention and motif after his comments right near the end of the video. what a shameful attitude, behavior, and outlook
this interview would have been so much better if alex jones did not conduct it. what noam chomsky points out and alex jones repeatedly seems to ignore, is that people feel helpless. and after thinking about it, and listening to alex jones quite frequently in the past, i feel that alex jones manner in presenting information could be found guilty of spreading a somewhat helpless feeling..
life must make life so much easier when you just have 3 categories in ur mind - sheeple (who dont think), clever good guys (Alex and everyone who agrees with him on everything) and clever bad guys (the NWO - those, who disagree with Alex on at least 1 issue)
As regards the difference between England and the US in terms of death-by-guns -
Go to Wikepedia and search "List of countries by firearm-related death rate" -- the first entry has the US at 15.22 per 100,000 population in one year versus England at 0.46.
Quite a difference.
Every advanced industrial country has a firearms-death-rate *much* less than the US. Check out the list for yourself.
Also, it's a shame an idiot like Alex Jones is on the radio every day and Noam Chomsky isn't.
@9162vb48 agreed about your last comment about how noam chomsky should be on air everyday, but i must point out that wikipedia isnt always so credible
"Say hi to David Rockefeller for me". What a douche! I understand why Chomsky wants to bring in people from non-elite and non-academic circles into the discussion but this is what you get by not scrutinising the quality of character and intellect of those you mingle with. People like Alex are really just attention-hungry people who believe in anything from rubbish illuminati conspiracy theories to reptilian-human oligarchies.
Chomsky was right. Our police don't as a rule carry guns, there are specialist firearms units, but an armed policeman is a rare sight in the UK, we've never really needed them, even now. All the gun crime is drug dealers shooting other drug dealers and no-one here is overly bothered about drug dealers getting shot. If gun crime was as serious as Jones makes out the police would be issued with firearms.
Jones is right on this one. Chomsky is a leftist at heart, even though he exposes the left right propaganda. He describes himself as a "libertarian socialist," which is ridiculous. And he goes down on corporations when the government is just as bad. He totes the intellectual left line.
I don't like either of these schmucks. Milton Friedman, Ludvig Von Mises, and F.A. Hayek are the ones for me. I'm going to the gods instead of the corrupt preachers.
Jones may be brash and forceful with his views but you have to admit he's a very hard worker and is dedicated to what he believes. He is very hypocritical tho, he mocks people for having the exact same reaction to their views being challenged that he displayed in this show.
He may not have all the answers, but at least he's asking some of the right questions.
Jones is like an insolent little child- confused & lost- Chomsky on the other hand ....
Was responsible for distributing the pentagon papers and bringing the american mind to it's own atrocities.. Alex JOnes reminds me of Stalin or even Lennin- an opportunist- who doesn't really have any concern about peoples lives or situations-
Just a fucking idiot- It's sad though- I was enjoying this conversation until he brought out the guns...
this country is not a democracy it is a constitutional republic... fuck Chomsky.. altho he is very intelligent.. his political agenda does not serve the people!!!!!!! Chomsky is full of double speak...... of course england had guns.. how else did they hold down their empire???? He uses his intellect to sway people to the far left (communism)!!!!!!!
this country is not a democracy it is a constitutional republic... fuck Chomsky.. altho he is very intelligent.. his political agenda does not serve the people
This is the same BS that Alex pulled with Peter Joesph. Alex can have the same sensibilities as George Bush at times. Either your with me or against me. Alex needs to mature.
I agree. AJ in general would have a lot more credibility main stream wise if he would learn how to frame a debate better. Alex doesn't use a lot of forethought or psychology into what he is about to say, he just says it no matter how rational or irrational it sounds. And I agree with most of what he has to say by the way. I just think he goes over the top and promotes too much fear mongering for me to want to watch him on a day by day basis without feeling "helpless".
The reason the gun crime went up in Britain (Nottingham, last time i checked, has the highest level of gun crime in Britain) is because the gangs were paying people to bore out replicas so that they can be used as real weapons. This obviously causes danger to the person using them aswell, as one tiny mistake during the process can result in the gun blowing up in their hands when it is used.
This shows just how idiotic Alex is. He concludes by saying that Chomsky is part of the new world order! I mean, c;mon, didn't Alex listen to a word of what Chomsky said?! Just shows that Alex clings to his "me against the world" persona regardless of the facts that are put in front of him. Alex doesn't have the intelligence to debate with Chomsky and knowing Alex, he would just revert to name calling much like a child does when he doesn't understand what his elders are saying to him.
I'm not gun obbessed but people in London did have guns and they got confiscated. The problem is that Alex is trying to force Chomsky to agree with his line or he is in the enemy lot because he doesn't agree on his stance with guns. That is common and wrong. I think people should have a liberal right to guns if they chose at present however I do not believe that guns should be populus(they are dangerous) when used improperly. However these are individual things. Sad distortion from Both on info
@Ryukikon I'm from Britain. Alex IS mistaken on that. I can assure you. See my comment below about guns in gangland Britain. The only guns you can buy with licences over here are shotguns for hunting (no handguns), and to get a licence is a fucking chore. Really only farmers and game keepers can get licences as long as there is no criminal record at all.
what you have stated here doesn't go against what I have stated or the spirit of what Alex is stating. It may be well that they make replicas, that is slightly different and we can talk about that. The main thrust is did that have gun confiscation on the population at some point in modern history. Yes they did have gun confiscation and gun control. Now a good question is why have Gun confiscation and control?
@Ryukikon s long as i have been alive and longer, there has never been any legal access to handguns. Alex made out there was. I'm not knocking the guy because he does have some really good info and should always be considered in regards of alternative media, but he is exaggerating the gun control thing in Britain. It has always been strict. Thats my point. I understand that they have gun control so its harder for an uprising to occur. Believe me tho, there are some people over here who shudnt
I kinda see where your going with this, in essence you are right however this stems form a misunderstanding. Now, I am aware that Britain has gun control, The common authoritarian government(history of monarchy) doesn't want people to posses arms. People that farmed, hunted, etc had guns. Not military Grade guns(I mean that they are not common issue in military). They did get confiscated, and made harder to get. Watched documentaries and listened to parliament members on this
The United Kingdom has one of the lowest rates of gun homicides in the world, while Alex claims that it's higher than in the US. Jones is a far right redneck kook, creationist peace of trash.
LOL, that is funny gun homicides rate. If you have restrictions on guns you will probably have less gun crime. However is crime going to go down, will people kill less people? THat is the core and critical question. IT is not the majority of the people that commit serious crime or society would crumble. It is not even the major of criminals commiting crime that commit the act of murder. If you dislike Alex fine, he can do alot better butt why the extensive insults.
If anyone deserves to be respected when it comes to illuminating truths about our society and how it's run, it's Noam Chomsky. You should have stopped your idiotic talk-show persona long enough to listen and give him the chance to wake up some otherwise apathetic listeners.
I think its clear from listening to the interview that Jones is really intimidated by Chomsky's intellect as Jones's pales in comparison, therefore his ego kicks in and goes on the defensive as soon as Chomsky disagree with him on the gun issue (which by the way he was compltely and totally right about). The first time i heard this Alex Jones i thought he sounded like an ignorant fool but i sympathised with what he was trying to do, now i realise my initial suspicions were right on the money
What an idiot, conspiracy theorist nutballs like him do more harm than good, anyone who knows anything about chomsky knows that the very last thing in this universe that he is, is a new world order shill, for fucks sake, i wish i could tell him face to face how much of an idiot he is, Chomsky eveer the calm humble rationalist gives him respect he doesn't even deserve. he goes to say: " ive got twice the brain you've got with both arms tied behind my back" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the fuck is wrong with this guy? Chomsky is not only highly articulate and super rational, but exteremly humble. Calling him a new world order shill - over a few facts about guns (Chomksy IS right, btw) is about the most pathetic pot shot i ever heard. What a clown.
just because he disagree's with alex that makes him a new world order shill?????????
Give me a break!!!
I am pretty pro second amendment but like in all real logical honest conversations there is a left and a right. Noam probably has a more liberal approach to guns... I don't but that doesn't make him shill!! Wake up Alex... You need to put your EGO aside and work with people like micheal moore and Noam.... If you werent pulling these folks apart from your movement we may beat the NWO!!!
it's because of guys like this that people don't know a goddamn thing these days. this whole thing of every fucking person is apart of the NWO and everything's a conspiracy. throwing out the most bullshit numbers and getting away with it because he knows his little niche of listeners won't do any real research they'll just fumble along to some other ridiculous conspiracy website. he's what he claims to be against. he's Orwell's hour of hate. so go ahead live through him and remain irreverent.
Noam is quite clearly another phony, bought and paid for gatekeeper on the oligarch's payroll. State sponsored terrorist attacks are one of the oldest tricks in the book, yet Chumsky doesn't want to speak to this..hmm, wonder why? Ha. The guy is obviously covering for his CIA/Pentagon pals. Wake the f*ck up Noam. It truly puzzles me why so many lemmings fawn over this overrated, disinformant.
@FeelGood30 Thank you oh lord of copy paste for writing this in several videos. Funny you use the term "lemmings" when you and others will call chomsky an "NWO gatekeeper" just because Alex Jones and Corbett did. What the fuck does that even mean? I'm all ears. If the NWO has a special gatekeeper, why would they try choose to keep him off all the main TV cable news channels? Good luck finding him on CSPAN, maybe there's a shot. This NWO gatekeeper bullshit falls apart under any examination.
Disingenuous Chomsky is another Michael Moore in disguise, just another pawn on the payroll of the oligarchs who will give you a few pieces of the puzzle, in order to distract your attention away from the much bigger picture and how it all ties in together.
Its just adoreable that Jones finds some random statistical data and tries to flaunt it like he's done some hardline research. Chomsky has his main profession(research and teaching linguistics at one of the most respected universities in the country) as well as doing his political/social work for 60+ years. Also, calling someone who's an admitted Anarcho-Syndicalist(or at least one who has maintained close ties to said theories, a big government shill is beyond the scope of irony. Good Job alex
Hay guys I'm 25 years old and have lived in England all my life and I don't know where Alex is getting his info from but he is wrong I have been all over my country I have slept ruff on the streets and fine dined in the ritz and I have NEVER seen a gun we are not even aloud gun clubs here. If you are caught with a hand gun in your house they can give you 14 years jail time and I would just like to say to Alex that his little remark about rockerfellar at the end was in very bad taste
Isn't Chomsky an anarcho-syndicalist? Controlling guns is the state's domain, and if they have the ability to control who gets weapons and who doesn't they have all the power. You will never be able to fight tyranny with no weapons.
I thought they had a great conversation expressing similar understandings in different words but the disrespect was uncalled for. Jones needs to spend some time trying to understand other peoples positions and where they're coming from instead of framing them as somehow being a shill.
Yeah, we're going to stop the most violent and powerful state in world history with guns. Jones is essentially a useless right wing clown. I shouldn't say useless as he serves the interests of the corporate-state by ignoring popular struggle and frames it as if it's the powerful, faceless elite that we cannot stop. Unless we have guns, of course. haha
Chomsky is honest and owns up to what he can substantiate and what he cannot. I may be a gun owning Neanderthal in the minds of some, but I hope Chomsky considers the facts and the need for individuals to be armed as he promised.
So much of what Chomsky says I agree with, but I cannot agree with his collectivist leaning.
I fought in Afghanistan, were the corporations are the only winners, and will fight within the system w/o arms in the USA for freedom, but do not try to take my arms.
The overall homicide rates per 100,000 (regardless of weapon type) reported by the United Nations for 1999 were 4.55 for the U.S. and 1.45 in England and Wales
Why are people so hostile..?.. Why are all these comments so antagonistic.. ? It's easy to criticize when hidden behind computer screen.. Just appreciate the fact that there is someone out there who gives us a different take on political issues by inviting to his show significant speakers we all can learn from. Harmony among all - this is what we all need to work on. Maybe there will be less conflicts around the world then.
@MrAlienlovechild The country with the most violent crime in Europe is the UK followed by Austria. He's a moron though so he winds up turning a violent crime statistic to a death by guns statistic, and Austria into Australia. Chances are he doesn't know what Austria is.
@Mjhavok i dont know about that, he bases his whole career off of discovering the truth, however, he is indeed wrong, as chompsky points out, the people of England never had guns, it was not only recently that they were confiscated, they never had it. only recently were police officers issued them.
Anyone who believes that the UK has a gun problem is a moron. Anyone who believes that it's worse than America have the intelligence of a 3 year old. This man has clearly never left the United states.
Love Chomsky since the sixties but his views on 9/11 and JFK assassination are bizarre at best. Love Jones, too, but he need not have cracked, "Say 'Hi" to Rockefeller," which is absurd. Jones made an enemy for no reason. He'll never get Chomsky back.
Jones focuses on guns. An armed insurrection would be met with much bigger weapons. It's far more effective to encourage people to think & act to change our government from within with compelling, truthful messages that unite us against the corporate takeover. Chomsky understands.
i just read up on jones' insinuation that chomsky is a government shill. he is alluding to peter schweizer's book do as i say in which he accuses chomsky of being funded by the us military.. but schweizer is involved in politics and was adviser to sarah palin so the chances are more that schweizer is slinging mud in an attempt to discredit and undermine the bona fide dissidents like chomsky; rather than chomsky being an elaborate fbi/cia shill....
i'm from england and i have lived here for 37 years. up until 10 years ago, gun crime on the general streets was unheard of. there were some felons that would invariably get hold of them to carry out very serious crimes, but the street scene is drastically more dangerous since 2000. there are independent surveys and much research to substantiate this. jones is very emotive and sometimes irrational. noam is a rational intellectual that will only ever debate things he can prove. sad clash...
Mr. Jones and his show obviously is a controlled opposition elaborate CIA plot to discredit people who are against the machine/elites/Jews/New World Order/The Man/God. Completely delusional.
I like Chomsky's patience and it is necessary for a scholar of his level, especially against aggressive non sequitor/ad hominem rhetoric (the audience should have a >90 IQ though)
Especially folks like him who are convinced of their beliefs/have a strong opinion (and this applies to very intelligent people, including me and you to some extend). If the evidence is discredited or removed the belief will remain. He reads the evidence and uses them to reinforce his beliefs and ignores other evidence.
OMFG. Jones is a dishonest cunt. As soon as Chomsky disagrees with him he is branded a new world order shill? I am more sure than ever the Jones is an egomaniacal ass hat. He isn't in this for the people, it is all about his fucking EGO.
And I didn't see a need for Alex to be a dick to Chomsky like that. WTF...

In London, it looks like the number of gun murders went down, but stabbings went up. Wow, people are going to kill each other no matter what you do.

Chomsky is positive and hopeful for the first minute or so. That just won't do for the like of Alex Jones.
Jones needs everyone to feel hopeless so they'll keep tuning in. Fear pimp.

MrFourtyLicks 2 months ago 3
Where did he get that bit about people in the uk having handguns until a few years ago? It's complete rubbish. Outside of a hundred or so IRA and maybe a hundred 'top' criminals, virtually all guns in the UK were farmers' shotguns and gamekeepers' rifles just like now.
Then, as now, the average UK person who saw a handgun would immediately think "illegal" to a high level of certainty, and be correct.
ImMichaelTaylor 2 months ago 2
@ImMichaelTaylor It wasn't rubbish there has been systematic anti gun legislation, over the last few decades, every time there is an incident Michael Ryan, then Dunblane etc. People could belong to gun clubs before as a sport etc. Now even olympic competitors have to leave the country for training. This legislation weakens people against the oppression of the State & other criminals, criminals on the other hand, will continue to use guns as does the State.
unseenocean 3 weeks ago
@unseenocean "This legislation weakens people against the oppression of the State"
For that to be true guns would have to strengthen you against the state. I don't believe that. All the state has to do is make most people comfortable and they'll only use their guns on each other. The most powerful weapon you have against the state is simply saying "no I won't", because everything they do is driven by the effort the population expend on the state's behalf.
ImMichaelTaylor 3 weeks ago
@ImMichaelTaylor You are not thinking deeply, what is a civil war or an armed revolution? If the State decides to be a lot more aggressive you will realise the advantage a State has given itself against its own people by disarming them. Look at how the ATF suffered in Waco. The State should not have the exclusive right to possess weapons, the States forces are not there protecting you at all times and they often attack you. People should have fair chance to self defence
unseenocean 2 weeks ago
@unseenocean "People should have fair chance to self defence"
Armed revolutions only work when the majority of the subjugated people have an awareness of their predicament. Non-armed revolutions only work when the majority of the subjugated people have an awareness of their predicament.
Armed revolutions rarely work when the majority of the subjugated people don't have an awareness of their predicament. So I think it's the awareness rather than the arms that does it.
ImMichaelTaylor 2 weeks ago
@unseenocean (continued) Typically the guns get involved later, once the revolution is a foregone conclusion because of the awareness of the population.
And typically we use a different word for an attempted revolution with only guns and no awareness; massacre. Usually a massacre of civilians, occasionally a massacre of police or soldiers, always a massacre of ordinary citizens, never a massacre of the actual government until after the awareness revolution succeeds.
ImMichaelTaylor 2 weeks ago
@unseenocean (continued again)
ImMichaelTaylor 2 weeks ago

This "new world order" conspiracy talk gets on my nerves. It makes me wonder if any of these hacks ever read a history book. There is absolutely nothing "new" about the privilege of power.

If gun crime was as serious as Jones makes out the police would be issued with firearms.

rmccay88 4 months ago
The reason the gun crime went up in Britain (Nottingham, last time i checked, has the highest level of gun crime in Britain) is because the gangs were paying people to bore out replicas so that they can be used as real weapons. This obviously causes danger to the person using them aswell, as one tiny mistake during the process can result in the gun blowing up in their hands when it is used.
SimonIntense 6 months ago
This shows just how idiotic Alex is. He concludes by saying that Chomsky is part of the new world order! I mean, c;mon, didn't Alex listen to a word of what Chomsky said?! Just shows that Alex clings to his "me against the world" persona regardless of the facts that are put in front of him. Alex doesn't have the intelligence to debate with Chomsky and knowing Alex, he would just revert to name calling much like a child does when he doesn't understand what his elders are saying to him.
etellez1231 6 months ago
I'm not gun obbessed but people in London did have guns and they got confiscated. The problem is that Alex is trying to force Chomsky to agree with his line or he is in the enemy lot because he doesn't agree on his stance with guns. That is common and wrong. I think people should have a liberal right to guns if they chose at present however I do not believe that guns should be populus(they are dangerous) when used improperly. However these are individual things. Sad distortion from Both on info
Ryukikon 6 months ago
@Ryukikon I'm from Britain. Alex IS mistaken on that. I can assure you. See my comment below about guns in gangland Britain. The only guns you can buy with licences over here are shotguns for hunting (no handguns), and to get a licence is a fucking chore. Really only farmers and game keepers can get licences as long as there is no criminal record at all.
SimonIntense 6 months ago
@SimonIntense
what you have stated here doesn't go against what I have stated or the spirit of what Alex is stating. It may be well that they make replicas, that is slightly different and we can talk about that. The main thrust is did that have gun confiscation on the population at some point in modern history. Yes they did have gun confiscation and gun control. Now a good question is why have Gun confiscation and control?
Ryukikon 6 months ago

LOL, that is funny gun homicides rate. If you have restrictions on guns you will probably have less gun crime. However is crime going to go down, will people kill less people? It is not even the major of criminals commiting crime that commit the act of murder. If you dislike Alex fine, he can do alot better butt why the extensive insults.

Is he really talking to Noam Chomsky like he's a four year old?
GiantSandles 7 months ago
Isn't Chomsky an anarcho-syndicalist? Controlling guns is the state's domain, and if they have the ability to control who gets weapons and who doesn't they have all the power. You will never be able to fight tyranny with no weapons.
Vengrence 7 months ago
Hahaha classic, at 3:34 Jones goes, "I'll bet you a million dollars!"
"I'll bet you a zillion!" "I know you are but what am I?" "Fine you're not invited to my birthday party!"
HioPojac 7 months ago
I thought they had a great conversation expressing similar understandings in different words but the disrespect was uncalled for. Jones needs to spend some time trying to understand other peoples positions and where they're coming from instead of framing them as somehow being a shill.
rhth79 7 months ago
Yeah, we're going to stop the most violent and powerful state in world history with guns. Jones is essentially a useless right wing clown. I shouldn't say useless as he serves the interests of the corporate-state by ignoring popular struggle and frames it as if it's the powerful, faceless elite that we cannot stop. Unless we have guns, of course. haha

wow is this guy Jones for real? he lost all credibility near the end there, what a joke

Using Alex Jones's logic, I can argue that he's secretly working for the gun lobby!

@MrAlienlovechild The country with the most violent crime in Europe is the UK followed by Austria. He's a moron though so he winds up turning a violent crime statistic to a death by guns statistic, and Austria into Australia. Chances are he doesn't know what Austria is.
JessAtlas 7 months ago
its simple, the higher level of societythe higher rates of violent crimes, modernism----- simple a level sociology
harry201186 7 months ago
@Mjhavok i dont know about that, he bases his whole career off of discovering the truth, however, he is indeed wrong, as chompsky points out, the people of England never had guns, it was not only recently that they were confiscated, they never had it. only recently were police officers issued them.
rapsta86 7 months ago
@rapsta86 He doesn't have the analytical ability to discover the truth.

Anyone who believes that the UK has a gun problem is a moron. Anyone who believes that it's worse than America have the intelligence of a 3 year old. This man has clearly never left the United states.

Alex Jones you are a shit head and a 2 faced ass hole!
[1] I live in England. Gun law is very tight in the UK and virtually NO ONE has a gun here other than low power air pistols and riffles!
[2] One minute you are telling Chomsky how much you respect his work then the second he is off air you call him a corporate shill!
YOU SIR are the corporate shill. Dispensing largely bullshit conspiracy theories to deliberately muddy the water. You disgust me.

LazlosPlane 8 months ago
Jones focuses on guns. An armed insurrection would be met with much bigger weapons. It's far more effective to encourage people to think & act to change our government from within with compelling, truthful messages that unite us against the corporate takeover. Chomsky understands.

Alex Jones is a little idiotic, but I cant stand listening to chomsky, his nerdy and puny voice sucks
derekzoolander 8 months ago
i just read up on jones' insinuation that chomsky is a government shill. he is alluding to peter schweizer's book do as i say in which he accuses chomsky of being funded by the us military.. but schweizer is involved in politics and was adviser to sarah palin so the chances are more that schweizer is slinging mud in an attempt to discredit and undermine the bona fide dissidents like chomsky; rather than chomsky being an elaborate fbi/cia shill....
naughtyboymessiah 8 months ago
i'm from england and i have lived here for 37 years. up until 10 years ago, gun crime on the general streets was unheard of. there were some felons that would invariably get hold of them to carry out very serious crimes, but the street scene is drastically more dangerous since 2000. there are independent surveys and much research to substantiate this. jones is very emotive and sometimes irrational. noam is a rational intellectual that will only ever debate things he can prove. sad clash...

HAHAHAHA London more dangerous than a us city in regards to deaths by guns hahhhahaha
its so funny that anyone could believe that!

Is anyone believing that Alex Jones has read any book by Noam Chomsky? His 9/11 truther bullshit is more believable.
Mjhavok 8 months ago
@Mjhavok
It doesn't matter if he reads his books.

Especially folks like him who are convinced of their beliefs/have a strong opinion (and this applies to very intelligent people, including me and you to some extend). If the evidence is discredited or removed the belief will remain. He reads the evidence and uses them to reinforce his beliefs and ignores other evidence.
