Not trying to sound nasty or negative or anything but La Lupe did in fact use drugs. I love her music, grew up listening to it along with Hector Lavoe, and many of the worlds great musicians did in fact get high. ...I think thats part of what made the music so great. But to focus in on just the fact that she was a "druggie or junkie" is really NOT cool and really not nice. She had sooo much to offer and when she died, a whole era/ genre of music became somewhat lost.

Hello friends, I am happy LA LUPE'S video has been viewed so many times. It truly is a blessing. I wanted LA LUPE'S music to be known and I think she is making a great comeback!

I grew up in PRico watching La Lupe on noontime live variety shows-EL SHOW DEL MEDIODIA. To me, as a child her energy was a fascinating thing to watch. Until today no other woman has sang salsa with the same "desenfrenamiento"(no holding back)

that she brought to this music. I miss her voice, her tumbao. Orgasmic sounds were done by her way before Donna Summers, grabbing her crotch and boobs way before Maddona. She was a trailblazer & will never be forgotten.
