Very fine tribute. The Prisoner Appreciation Society was originally set up in my home town,Cheltenham,in,i think,1976,which was ironic as this is where G.C.H.Q,an intelligence base for surveillance,is located. And,of course,we are spied upon more than ever before,we are all number sixes in the global village now, that series had remarkable foresight, many thanks for creating and posting this...
Just watched all 3 parts, Yann and most impressed. I'm Steve Matt and used to provide artwork and strips to '6 of 1' . Seems a lifetime ago! You've captured the beauty of the man and tried to feature his best moments. Not easy - there's so many. He was in his prime for 'The Prisoner' and 'Ice Station Zebra'. In an alternative dimension he persued more blockbusters and is bigger than Connery, McQueen, Newman & Cloony. But then we wouldn't have the greatest tv series ever made. He lives on! BCNU.
@yannlb71 You're very well come. I wonder if you know Patrich Ducher, a chap in France whom I met at a 'Six of One' convention about 20 yrs ago. I subsequently contributed a strip for a 'Prisoner' fanzine he used to publish. He had a wonderful collection of beer mats! Of course, McGoohan was in his prime throughout the sixties and so he was also amazing in 'Danger Man', which I strongly believe to be the fore runner to 'The Prisoner'. Other best works were Hell Drivers, Braveheart and Columbo.
@yannlb71 My introduction to McGoohan was quite weird, Yann. Over 30 yrs ago I watched 'Escape From Alcatraz' (aged 10 ) and hardly noticed him! Several yrs later I watched 'The Prisoner' & was hooked by the 5th episode ('The Schizoid Man'). Naturally I persued everything McGoohan had appeared up till 1983 and was amazed that he'd appeared opposite Clint Eastwood in 'Alcatraz'. When I watched it again, it was as if McGoohan had been added in by C.G.I ! Love Mylene Farmer too! B.C.N.U...
Today is 13/1/11 and I can't believe it is exactly 2 yrs since Pat left us. I lost my Father-in-law over Xmas & I am reliving this awful sense of loss. To sum up my immediate emotions when viewing 'The Prisoner' 30 yrs ago (which never leaves us but is never recaptured) it would be the excitement of 'heavy brass' accompanied by the wonderment of what our hero is going to go through THIS week! Since 'The Jailbird' I draw 'Oscar & Wild' for the 'Bugle' - watch out for a tribute to Pat soon! BCNU
As in your other tributes, after watching this I am speechless again. I had to watch it several times to completely absorb it. Mr. McGoohan would be proud, in spite of his humility. You have honored his memory beautifully and we who loved the man are grateful. Thank you very much. RIP Danger Man
Thanks for doing such an incredible job. I only just heard today that Patrick died in 2009. He was a genius of his time as your video shows. I was watching the Prisoner today, It is a timeless series. Your video has shown me many more aspects of his incredible talents.
All I can say is WOW!! Superb job and great memorial to this wonderful and underrated actor. His talent was almost mystical and his voice as good as Richard Burton's and one of the handsomest men ever. Thank you.
A truly great actor he was, I was one of those who wanted more of the Dangerman series, then they placated us with The " Saint" with Roger Moore , sorry not the same, not even close, I always believed that he should've recieved an Oscar for his performance a s" Longshanks" in Braveheart, he stole that show, as an avid fan I just never got to see enough interviews, mostly because I believe he was a very solitary person, a masterful job done here, thank you.
Excellent! 11 out of 10 for No 6. Very moving. And to quote Mr McG, and in his inimitable view of the world we live in "we know now that the sky is not the limit" Be seeing you!
What an insightful tribute, as well as a treat for McGoohan lovers! The dancing clips were so celebratory...it's great to remember that side of him. Thanks also for the MANY other memories--just an awesome piece of work.
I'm speechless, well almost, and completely in tears. You've done a fabulous job paying tribute to him. I've always loved him, and there is a such a sadness in his passing, yet a peace knowing that he's in a better place. Thank you for creating this!

Thank you. He was very talented. A great actor, even in some bad movies he made like the last one "hysteria".

@stevejailbirdmatt No, I don't know Patrick Ducher. I am a fan of "the prisoner" but I am big fan of McGoohan first, since I saw him in "danger man".

the only thing this video misses is, mcgoohan was considered the greatest script doctor who ever lived
he apparently made more money fixing scripts than he ever did working as an actor
