Hi Jeff, i was recommended to watch your videos by my younger brother who has been following your videos and is getting results. I'm completely new to fitness; however my main concern is my stomach as i am trying to lose the fat off it. What should i do to lose the fat and how can i tone it up? Thanks,
Hey jeff, thanks for all these videos i bought athlean x a couple of weeks ago and im loving it. Please could you blow the lid on this whole "you cant lose fat and gain muscle at the same time" notion. It always annoys me to hear guys in my high school saying u hav to bulk up with countless calories before u can get ripped once again thanks
Hi Jeff, Was just at your site and I am doing P90X and will be actually working out with Tony H. on Nov 6th.. Can you tell me / us what home gym equipment you need for your program? I have a set of adjustable dumbbells, pull up bar, couple of small plates, 4, 6, 8lb med balls. and a bowflex revolution. I'm 41 y.o 5'7 and 210 lbs. I lost 25lbs with p90x and now plateauing . Need to drop another 10-20.. please let me know. thanks in advance, Lonny
Wow, just watching this video made my obliques sore! I can tell just by watching that this one is a killer! Can't wait to give this a try tomorrow...Love your videos, Jeff, you provide some of the best information out there and I tell everyone at my gym to check them out!
@youngdavito I personally have found that the tower 200 and the x factor door gym set ups allow you to perform alot if not all of Jeffs machine/resistance exercises..I use them with the videos from Jeff and they work great for me..
Not only are your videos informative, you also show us the exercise and even show us the effect of the exercise on your muscles. Absolutely fantastic!
Jeff have you ever taken any illegal substances in your past? Somebody i know who sells supplements saw me watching one of your vids and said you were on something either now or in your past. I don't think you're on anything atm but if you were on something, then my image of you is destroyed.
hey jeff thanx for this video i rele like all ur workouts on youtube and i recently bought athleanx and am loving the results quick question: could you please explain what eccentric and concentric contractions are?
Free inexhaustible energy is real! But the Oil companies want these technologies unknown to the masses,Find a motor that needs no fuel or input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,take part in the revolution!
Jeff i see you've come up with a lot of very useful ab and core exercises. I was just wondering if could come up with a lower back workout to complement the ab. i am not sure whether or not these extension machines are good for the lower back or not.
Damn i am jealous, i wish i had that machine cause i know when i used to do Woodchoppers alot i noticed a huge difference, and this would bring my obliques just to a whole new level of excellence.
Since i have a mini home gym, since traveling to a actual gym is too far away. How much would one expect to spend on such a machine
You can also do this on a kinesis machine ( don't know if it is called the same in the states and ofcourse as mentioned before, an ordinary cable machine...just for the ones that did not get the inspiration from the exercise ...
Hey Jeff. I've been following your workout videos for quite some time now, and I have to say I like what you've been doing.
I'm curious though. Do you know of anything one who is rather toned, and has muscle, with developed abs, and average physique, can do to make it so the bottom of their ribs don't show/stick out?
@8DarknessShadow8 If you're talking about you actual rib cage, and not the thin, rib-like muscles that go from your abs to last, then there really isn't much you can do except hide it with fat. I have a similar look with my ribs. Just gots ya a big lung-house! We're all built a little different. It happens. :)
Jeff, this is great. Keep doin' what cha doin' and considering that I use to weight 265lbs and I weigh 170lbs now. After looking and actually executing most of your exercises (complimenting your xclusive exercises with other isolation and compound exercise) I'm actually looking very close to how I've always wanted to look. So thank you very much! Kevin from Singapore
RICH, The fact that you own a gym and wouldn't show this only would make someone glad not to join, As for Jeff, great work man, love athleanx, I've been training for a while and was in good shape, but athlean-x really steps it up. And the ladies enjoy the physique as well :D major props. Athlean for life!
@wasimsworld At 40 myself & I can say definitely yes! Have completed week 7 of the Washboard Wednesday series & seeing some good definition. So important to watch your diet. Physically we're all different but keep up with the program (join up with AthleanX to go along with it if you haven't already) & you'll be rewarded with results.
@wasimsworld Yes you sure can at 40! I got 8 of 'em on me and I'm 62. Never saw any of them before now! Eating right is the key. Don't care what anybody says, do your sit-ups! and every other kind of abdominal exercise you can put in your arsenal and you'll be good to go. Jeff's system has plenty of variety and he also has a series of abs videos on youtube.
You are the man Jeff... this is by far the most helpful exercise ive seen for abs. I have been lifting weights for a long time and never have i thought of exercises like the ones you come up with. Grate stuff Jeff.
Hey Jeff, great excersise. As mentioned, it can be done with bands aswell and it may be equally effective. One thing, I bought the Deltoid TNT series yesterday, but haven't gotten an email to download it yet, I also wrote a mail to getripped@athleanx.com but haven't gotten an answer! Maybe you can help me out to recieve the digital stuff.
@RICHS128 Geez Rich, someone put something in your cheerios this morning? The majority on here find this helpful and they surely can do it with bands as well. Not sure if membership at your gym is down or not and is causing you to have a bad day but if it is, you might want to assess how you're conducting yourself. You come like a bit of a....well, I'll leave it at that
@JDCav24 Why do you even bother responding to haters. People (like me) are learning alot and appreciate your advice. People will always have haters, ignore them. I learnt something watching your video so thanks!
u dont own a simple cable machine? (dont know the name of it) but at my gym that machine has always someone working on it, from my experience at gyms, thats easily one of the most used machines. So, maybe ur gym needs an upgrade?
@RICHS128 settle down mate.... you can do this exercise with a cable machine. Almost EVERY gym has cables! put one side down to the bottom, and one side up the top...... It's not hard.
@RICHS128 ummm... thats a basic free motion machine that's in most gyms and if you don't have any free motion machines that one will take care of it all. It should be the 2nd or 1st free motion machine u get besides the universal cable machine
@RICHS128 yeah i hate to pile on you but I've been a member of three gyms and been to many and seen this machine in all of them. Respect to you for owning a gym, but get this in your gym soon
@RICHS128 yea agreed, this is very helpful as i been looking for a serious obliques workout which is excatlly what this is about, if you dont like it dont spam this videos just keep your opinons to yourself. no one wants to hear you talkin bull shit
@RICHS128 i don't own a cable machine, but i'd bet a good amount of money that every YMCA in the nation has one.................... might want to upgrade your equipment, you'll attract more members. get your caps lock button fixed.
Guys, Jeff's AthleanX program WORKS!!! I just finished week 5 and my results are great and I feel great and the meal plan is so good I never desire a cheat meal. I'm excited to finish up all 3 months. AthleanX is such a deal at the low cost he's asking for it. This is the best I've ever felt.
@jboijseauneau Hey guys! Not a weight exercise because it changes the mechanics of the move. The cables provide the eccentric part of the exercise that the dumbbells would not. You CAN sub in tubing however if you can anchor it in a similar way as it is here. Stay strong TEAM ATHLEAN!
@dowezee me too, thats why i eat meat. you can eat as much beans as you want,it wont have the same amount of protein like meat. Thats just how it is.
Dont worry, their is enough animals to go around,i love animals too. If i would not eat for the love of mother nature i would not even eat plants. Plants feel pain too you know. Its been proven. Gods says its cool, who am i to go against the big guy. He gave me something,am gonna eat it. Ans its delicious
@baeronautics hehehe :) no worries my friend! no ones alone in this world! if someone has experienced something in life there will always be another person that experienced the same, maybe close to us, or maybe miles away in the world! but hey! being a vegetarian is not so bad, because u dont eat meat and somehow is can be along of the lines "i respect mother natural in a way" hence, you get to live longer and maybe rare illness will come your way or non at all!
@dowezee yes u r right buddy i completely agreee with you vegetarians are probably the healthiest persons in the world my experience is that i have very low body fat levels and as a result i have naturel abs if i flex them being a vegetarian is not bad at all but sometimes i feel a bit uncomfortable with others cause the meat eaters are big !! lool :DDD take care buddy!!
@TheBajanMafia hey thanks mate! i have hope that i can be achieve by you're comment! thanks for the heads up! maybe you can suggest any diet that can do the trick? working hard is not a problem, as long as its can be achievable then im fine with that! cheers!
@jboijseauneau yes, i also do it with a dumbbell , just make sure u keep everything tight... although doing it with the cables will have a bigger impact
This is a great exercise, Jeff =D! W/ a lot of comments that you receive, hopefully you'll read mine XD. Can I do this workout using a pair of 10 lb. dumb bells/weighted broom stick ? Will it still give the same results, if not similar? I asked because, martial arts has a lot of rotations involved, & I want to take my rotations a step further, while hitting the abs & the obliques. Yes, like hitting 2\3 birds w/ 1 tranquilizer dart XD. Thanks in advance =3.
