nizmo423, B. Sivaraman is a rising star of mridangam. He frequently accompanies many of the top vidwans in carnatic music. I'm sure he knows all about rava on the thoppi, but I think that since this was a practice session of sorts, he didn't bother to.

Jay is absolutely right. This is a home video and we used our webcam and even the mic wasn't a professional one. No doubt Siva & Sankar are great artists and we should only see the essence of their play.

Loved it!!! I just got a mridangam. Will any of you guys be able to give me some guidance on how to prep the left head? it rings too much i think.
