Is it just me or does it seem like a Dad talking to his young son when Joe is trying to get Adam's chick to work!? :D Does that make me really wrong to fancy Adam? Lol
It's the terror on their faces as the £400 sentient robot dog of cute wanders off the table - that keeps me coming back to this clip...and Jo's tongue-ing.
oh yeah, napoleon dynamite is a cult classic! not by any means suggesting that all brits get the humour though! There's good examples of slightly surreal british comedy such as...Father Ted, The Fast Show, Peep Show and most famously, The Office. There'a also loads of lesser known ones like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and The Mighty Boosh, although I'm not a huge fan of the latter. Check 'em out.
Yeah they are pretty funny. Some of the humor is what in America would be frequented as 'Corney' but they have their moments! British humor is so different though!
The British brand of humour displayed in this skit is known as irony. Something many US folk fail to grasp. Obvious exceptions: Family Guy, Arrested Development etc etc
Hmmm, well I find that very intresting. Do any brits like for instance off-the wall humor such as Napolean Dynamite that many Americans fail to grasp?
Yes there is just not verbal irony. Adam, I think its the short one if not joe, is always kind of the playful one who gets into things and acts crazy and joe usually the more narrative guy making sure the viewer finds out about what they are talking about but then for that one skit joe plays with the haro as if he were a teenage boy yet adam doesn't see the humor at all.
No, there were several instances when adam made faces and corny impersonations of people. In American humor that would have killed all jokes after. You're right it is just humor, but it appeals more so to certain areas than others.

If you were talking about me, I'm a girl and you misspelled "you're". I understand your point now that you've explained it, and it DOES make sense. I just hate seeing comments on every damned video talking about how Americans are stupid. I'm far from stupid. :) End of story.
you have an awesome video..thanks for sharing!

I fail to see how the humor in this skit is uniquely British. seriously. it's just humor.
