Classic..I had never seen Flair in mid 70's,wrestle in enemy territory from New York..Great video quality..Thanks for all who commented on this..Great imfo..
@arobinson68 The NWA organization was GLOBAL, withe member promotions all over the world including the WWWF at this time of this match. WWF left the NWA for the last time in 1983 thanks to Vince MacMahon Jr.
God Vince SUCKED as a commentator. His observation was actually that Flair isn't that well conditioned? Conditioning was Flair's thing. It's why he could work so well deep in a match.
@slimmsayton I think you're taking his comments way to seriously. Sanchez was obviously the face in this match and he was trying talk up the good guy. And do you think
@AnimalLover1977 This was at Madison Square Garden in N.Y, and it was actually Ric Flair's first appearance in the WWWF (now WWE) This was a taped area match, and not on television. During the old territory period, various promoters would allow their wrestlers to participate in promotional matches in other areas. The main 3 promotions at the time was: WWWF (East coast) NWA (Southern States, U.S. territories - Guam, Puerto Rico, etc.. and the AWA (Mid west)

Many people don't remember that Ric Flair's finishing maneuver used to be a simple suplex up until about 1979.

This must have been one of Flair's first matches back after the plane crash because that was Oct 4 1975.
