Good thing the US government stole the healthcare organization from the free citizens of the USA and socialized the entire industry of saving or killing people (abortions, death panels etc.--- Politicos on the left are very excited about the new changes). It will be funny when Doctors go on strike like teachers do today and people will be dropping like flies in hospitals. You know were savin’ a buck or two on not wasting paper.
three democrats and no republicans or libertarians.. I would have liked to see more diversity in this discussion. it is like they are talking to themselves why their ideas are so good. there is always another side. I am an independent before everyone starts jumping on me.
Did you know that the required CCHIT certification will cost software vendors $37,000? That sure will shutdown the small vendors working with small practices!
They're not taking it far enough. What they should be talking about is, do we want to have video conferences between patients and doctors over the internet so the patient can stay at home (when possible) to make diagnosises quicker.
Webcams with infrared and stethoscopes could be sold, and would be affordable, and it would be cheaper for both patient and doctor in the long term.
Not that you'd expect politicians to know what they're doing, but still it anyway :/
There is such an obvious need that IBM, Microsoft and a host of others have developed systems to address this, at their own expense. Instead of picking one or settling on hybrid they spend and compel. I fear this foreshadows what will come.

The government has no right to collect my health information without probable cause that I have committed a crime. It must get a warrant first.
What happened to the 4th amendment?
Does no one in Congress know about it?
They all swore an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution!
They care nothing for their oaths, not for the Constitution. They care only about their own power.

So it's law? Then it doesn't matter if it's more efficient or not. It's if the originization wants to pay a fine.
Yay!
