Hmm, what method would you use to get the timings accurate. A regular petal or V valve regulates itself, as it's pulled open by the air pressure inside the combustion chamber. But other than some very delicate electronics, I don't see any other way to build this system, although I see the attraction of low maintenance valve systems such as this.
To late.years ago someone made one like that but also it drove one at the other end of the pulse jet pipe to increase compression. Not know if it worked but it has a patent right on it.

it is for a pulsejet. a ram-jet works other way.
