U R 1 COOL DUDE! You play it very well. I wish you only had one way but I see why you show easier styles. Thanks a million for posting and great job! I'll surely see more. LOL, It becomes a much greater challenge on the acoustic but I LIKE It That Way!!! Carry On, Keep Rockin'
When I Look for classic rock lessons on youtube and I see a lesson from tonedr,i stop ,the search is over.Dale always has the best lessons. You can never go wrong with a tonedr lesson.please keep them coming Dale and i will keep watching.your freind in Southern Oregon.
Dale, great tutorial, as always! I am also a rocker/blues-man from the 1960's who was never able to master this song until you came along with your lesson. I had given up having it in my repertoire. Not anymore. I was able to master it in about an hour with your guidance. Thanks for taking so much time teaching the rest of us how to play so many songs. You are to be commended. Keep on rockin', Dale!
So.. I'm waiting to fly to a lighthouse, but there's hurricane winds. Stuck waiting is what I am. I've never picked up a guitar before today, so I don't know string names But.. In 3.5 hours of work, I can play the introduction to this song, with the all the 3 options for the end of the lick.
So, my colleagues came from lunch and asked what I did this morning, and thanks to you, they think I'm a rock star..
That's my guitar experience. No more. But I do know how to play a great lick.
Hi Dale, thanks for the great lesson. Always a song I loved and I can remember buying the album, their debut, when it came out. Great opening line, " I would climb any mountain, Sail across the stormy sea, If thats what it takes me, To show how much you mean to me" A classic indeed!
So glad I subscribed to you. I got the email today of this video, and this is exactly the kind of song I was looking to learn next! Thanks, keep making these!
great question - bridge position is pickup with no tone (very pure) - middle position puts tone control in circuit and neck position is like you've rolled the tone all the way back. I LOVE the guitar - thanks for your kind post and all the best with your music!
Hi Dale, What a nice job brother....Thank you for sharing your beautiful talents....with us slow ones...and doing a great job teaching us.... I tip my hat off to you my friend...
Greetings my friend! I can tell we are of the same era. I remember seeing Foreigner in concert with Heart and Fleetwood Mac. Foreigner was little known at that time and was the opening act!
Hey - I'm still working on Fire on the Mountain. Lectring at the college has been taking a lot of my practicing time away!
