  • Dale, great tutorial, as always! I am also a rocker/blues-man from the 1960's who was never able to master this song until you came along with your lesson. I had given up having it in my repertoire. Not anymore. I was able to master it in about an hour with your guidance. Thanks for taking so much time teaching the rest of us how to play so many songs. You are to be commended. Keep on rockin', Dale!

  • you are more than kind and your post is so very appreciated! Keep rockin, dale.

  • So.. I'm waiting to fly to a lighthouse, but there's hurricane winds. Stuck waiting is what I am. I've never picked up a guitar before today, so I don't know string names But.. In 3.5 hours of work, I can play the introduction to this song, with the all the 3 options for the end of the lick.

So, my colleagues came from lunch and asked what I did this morning, and thanks to you, they think I'm a rock star..

That's my guitar experience. No more. But I do know how to play a great lick.

  • this may be my favorite post of all time!! So cool that's how you spent your time and now your company has a rock star!!!! You are an inspiration!!

  • Great lesson. I have a question about the Esquire. It only has one pickup so what does the switch do? Is it a kill switch?

  • great question - bridge position is pickup with no tone (very pure) - middle position puts tone control in circuit and neck position is like you've rolled the tone all the way back. I LOVE the guitar - thanks for your kind post and all the best with your music!

  • After a very frustrating day on the guitar, your lesson made me feel better. Thanks!

  • i can relate...i have many of those! Keep on and thanks for your post.....your friend,
