  • I really prefer the 1958 version. The best!!

  • What was that sound that played whenever the threat of the blob was emenent?

  • Dzsoki.

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • "Rated GP"

    Y'sure it ain't PG?

  • @Chupa1997Girl GP was a rating used by the MPAA from 1970 to 1972 that indicated "All ages admitted. Parental guidance suggested." It was changed to PG in 1972. My mother still refers to movies being rated GP occasionally. I used to think she was crazy until I looked it up.

  • @seanmc31076 SOME examples of GP rated movies are listed here

    WILLARD (1971)

INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS (1972)

    DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971)

    BEWARE! THE BLOB (1972)

  • AAAHHH IT'S DA BLAWWWWB!!!

  • the attacking is so terrible

  • beware the blob!

  • This was directed by Larry Hagman!!!!

  • 0:02-0:05 sounds like the blob is giving him a titty twister!

  • AHHH IT'S TEH BOOLOOOBBB!!!

  • I remember watching this movie. The girl at the beginning of this trailer was Cindy WIlliams aka Shirley Fini from Laverne & Shirley.

  • beware the blob!

  • AHHHH IT'S THE BLOBAA

  • GP probably means General Public.

  • We'll all be screwed when global warming thaws out the big blob in the Arctic!

  • "Not even bullets." What does he think, that bullets are stronger than fire? You can burn a building down to the ground, bullets don't do shit. I don't know why, but that line pisses me off.

  • @corruptgunslinger Bushmaster cannon :)

  • "COLOR!" Weren't all movies in color by 1972?

  • This is a Funny Sequel of The Blob 1958!

But The Blob 1988 is Way More Scarier! XD

  • Someone please youtube this move, it's never shown on TV. I remember it from '72, thought it was hysterical

  • "AHH IS' DA BLAB!"

    "BEWARE! THE BLOB!"

    God that was funny.

  • Yeah, I totally cracked up xD

  • AAAAAH IT'S THA BLOOOOOOOBB!!!

  • The brotha in there is

    Godfrey Cambridge!

Didnt know he made a horror

    movie

  • It must have been a chunk of the original blob in 1958.The original was dropped in the Arctic where it is still frozen.I wished it was treated as a serious story instead of for laughs.

  • "Rated G-P!" silence please as the rest of the trailer roles with some dude swinging around on wires.

  • Larry Hagman and his pals, LOVE IT!

  • Which included Larry's brother AND Burgess Meredith.

  • more disturbing than the original.

  • put the movie on youtube

  • wonde what would happen to this thing if it ws dropped in an active volcano full of super heated lava.

  • Get out! Larry Hagman AND his friends? "Consuming human flesh on contact." That sounds like they're plugging some kind of Blob cleaning product.

  • This movie actually scared all of us little kids in 72'...nowadays the best part of the movie is the role Bugess Merideth played-one of three drunk guys hanging out by a garage at night...the Burgess Merideth while drunk is beyond frightning-the Blob is just a blob but a drunk Burgess is a many dimensional horror...god only knows what it will mumble, scream or laugh at next.

  • beware the movie it's also called son of blob

  • wait did they say rated gp?

  • Yes. It's an older rating.

  • Correct before they changed it to pg it used to be called gp for general public

  • lol bad acting makes it funny

  • I like it when it gets the guy under the car!

  • All ages admitted? seriously??? They are rate movies to hard now.

  • good movie if you're tripping. laughed my ass off.

  • directed by larry (dallas) hagman?!

  • Where did you find this trailer? This would have been cool had it been included on the 2000 dvd reissue.

  • This film was advertised as an "adventure" film of the "campy adventure genre" made famous by such television producers as Irwin Allen "Lost in Space" "Land of the Giants". "Beware of the Blob" was never intended as a serious horror film. Note that even the theme song was a parody of late-50s pop music, and resembled The Champs on the tongue-in-cheek accidental hit "Tequila".

  • "This movie does a injustice to the 1958 and 1988 versions."

For serious horror fans, true. Taking the 1972 film in the proper context, however, is essential to appreciating it for what it was. The '58 and '88 films were both produced as serious horror films, while the '72 version (with altered title to denote the different context) was a dual parody of both the "'50s monster film" genre and "campy" humor popular in 60's and 70's television shows.

  • Voice-over actor sounds like Dick Tufeld, who did voice-overs and voiced the Robot in the "Lost In Space" TV series (CBS 1965-68).

  • This movie does a injustice to the 1958 and 1988 versions.
