Well technically it was not called Halo but it was called Marathon it came out for PC but also came out for a game system that most have never heard of called the Apple Pip Pin. Yes Apple made a console and it didn't make it. In the game Marathon you are a cyborg fighting aliens and then you have to fight the great beast... sound familiar? cyborg=super soldier and great beast=flood. This game is why in Halo3 you have the Marathon Man achievement of opening terminals. By the way guys I'm 19. :)

actualy that is incorrect as i said the first one was made around the very first doom game. it was actualy not that popular and thats why its is common that not alot of people know this. i would know that the very first halo game is only for PC and came out around doom is because my friend actualy owns the game. its a first person shooter and every looks like the first duke nukem game. keep in mind this came out like 20+ years ago.

it could of been marines because when you escape that bunker thing a group of marines join up with you and they say that they are the ones that escaped..thats why the yellow dots keep appearing before you enter the bunker...also the guy who stands still in this video he is just one of the marines that you see on the hill before you enter the bunker ...hes standing still becuz you havnt progressed into a checkpoint becuz you glitched the game.. :)

Its because when you run towards the tunnel it appears there are marines shooting towards those grunts that ran past him because you see the AR fire but he sped down there and saw that they simply placed the rifle as opposed to generating entire marines returning fire.

You're not even supposed to be able to get to that tunnel in time so generating anything more than the fire is a waste of time, plus just seeing the gunfire and not getting a chance to catch up to the marines adds mystery and suspense which is what that entire level is built upon.
