  • @7:00 Davy Jones?

  • why does the stranger keep changing it face randomly? lol

  • WHOA, i got scared so hard, i had my headphones at full volume, rewinded when the satan screamed -.-

  • Santan:can i give you a hug and stab you to death and then fuck you

  • I can see how this would creep kids out, and I'll admit the bit when the Devil has the knife kinda made me lean away from the screen coz that's when shit got real, but ultimately this is a really creative and imaginative story that deals with social and spiritual beliefs. I'd say this is more of an intelligent animated film for a more mature audience, it shouldn't be banned at all, if it freaks kids out so much, show it at a more adult time, don't deprive newcomers from seeing it coz of kids

  • @Samuel24842 IN THE NINETIES, creepy cartoons were part of childhood....lots of cartoons and stuff iw atched had ALOT of creepy moments....like rugrats 0__0

  • the song thats played on the organ....what is it?

    .

  • weres the problem

  • 0:34 SHIT GETS REAL!

  • Interesting factoid....in "20,000 Leagues..." Captain Nemo of the Nautilus also played the organ

  • This story is a great read, if you ever get the chance to read The Mysterious Stranger, give it a try.

  • So that's y it was banned!

  • Why do you have to discus religion on youtube? such a useless action...no two veiws will be the same..

  • This is waaaay to deep for kids

  • @birca04

    Not exactly true.

  • Hmmm If your into all this creepy stuff then also watch salad fingers

  • so grim

  • okay holy crap o.o

  • I don't remember this cartoon at all growing up. Of course, it would have scared the bejibbers out of me if I had seen it!! (Just the satan part) It's interesting, though, and once I began watching it, I couldn't really stop. Thanks, brightlights456X !!

  • what is it that Satan said after "life is just a dream"? was something like " and you are...." ? can someone help me plz?

  • @Zakics7

    "but a thought"

  • @Zakics7 he said, "life is but a dream. all that exists is empty space, and you. and you are but a thought...."

  • lol during the earthquake i couldnt help myself but play the moonsand song in my head xD

  • claymation inside a claymation? clayseption

  • If I saw this on TV when I was 6 - 8 years old, I would shit my pants o,o

But today I think it's awesome! I can understand why parents complaind, I don't think this is something for the younger kids.

  • wats said in this may be real but no one can say its real cuz no one knows exactly when where and from the human race was made but we can only guess thats why the big bang theory and evolution comes from and then there the spiritual and religious belief that god made us but u gta be openminded and not reject either theories cuz as there is no real answer we can only guess and maybe the answer lies when we mix the religious and scientific theories together who knows. jus think about it

  • It seems mark twayne has two conflicting peronalities.

  • @fredzillian

    twain, lawl

    spelling fail.

  • Humans can never be more than worthless beings, it's how we were born, and it's how we will die. Satan understands this, unlike any other self-proclaimed "Gods".

  • @TheCandicimo That is a very pessimistic opinion.

  • I think this portrayal of Satan does a pretty good job of depicting the minds of the evil...

  • @LordofDragns I think it does a pretty good job on depicting the minds of the wise.

  • @TheCandicimo Wise people need not always have this same pessimistic view on life. Wisdom can be used to either justify or condemn things. Upon watching this whole movie, you notice that it depicts a balance between both the light and dark sides of the human psyche, and life in general. There are two sides to every coin.

  • @LordofDragns Yes, I agree, but the Mysterious Stranger part, I thought everything the Stranger said was pretty legitimate. Seems like a smart guy. Not evil at all.

  • @TheCandicimo What he says is legitimate, but very one sided. His view on life may be valid, but it is wholly a pessimistic view. Yes, humans can be petty, greedy, and violent, but they can also be kind, caring, and heroic. We humans are neither black nor white, but shades of grey. Satan is evil because he only sees the dark side of things, while being blind to our better qualities. All people carry a sword with two edges, a two sided coin if you will. That's what this movie is trying to convey

  • did they mention WHY it was banned? what year was it banned? but in reality we have evolved so much since then and It is no more satanic then most of all the videos they see with the satan luciferian symbols and subliminal info. i mean at least this one had the info out in the open. also there was more about Adam and eve and etc

  • @WonderWomanFan4life

Parents complaining plus standard bureaucracy. Tell me something. Why is Wonder Woman your favourite character?

  • @brightlights456X

everyone asks me that. Well I just think she's sexy, when I was a kid I just always wanted to be Wonderwoman. Me and my friends would pretend we were Wonderwoman and we would watch the show. It was kool. So I always liked wonderwoman far better than Barbie. Barbie never kicked anyones ass. She didnt' have a magick lasso. She didn't have an invisible plane and she was boring compared to Wonder Woman and the Bionic Woman. I forgot about her. My two fav characters

  • @WonderWomanFan4life

What about Super Girl or she too boring?

  • @brightlights456X

hmmmm i never really was into her.. she's kool though.. but do you remember ZENA?? She was GREAT! I love Zena Warrior Princess as well.

  • @brightlights456X

Supergirl is a bitch. No, really. She can be significantly more bitchy than wonder woman.

  • @thoadthetoad

    How so?

  • @WonderWomanFan4life I personally loved Catwoman. She could kick ass without superpowers or mechanical enhancements. Just her tools and human intellect...

  • he looks like albert fish

  • i thought the organ thing was a little cheesy. Justa bit.

  • I've been asking my self wether I am real or not for a while,so far nothing feels very real.

  • @YouActLikeItsYours

I feel like giving you a hug

    :D

  • @brightlights456X u should get one from melvin

  • this is exactly like life, eye-opening.

  • Remember watching this as a kid, and this scene scared the shit out of me

  • @howdee3 of course it would scare a child

  • When did this come out?

  • @AylaO922

    1986

  • clay figures making clay figures

  • This movie is........dark.

  • I don't know why, but the organ music brings out such strange emotions in me. I watched this as a kid and I think it really affected me deeply. I just get really meditative and nostalgic. The fact that a kids movie can do that to an adult is really profound and shows just how mature developed this special actually way.

They just don't make em like this anymore.

  • @atmaweapon42

They sure don't. Just talking animals now:/

  • I do get of sick of people who say people are undeserving of life because of our wickedness, or believe the world, the universe, or our existence will all end anyway, so why bother trying to save it!

If they really do believe that, why don't they just off themselves, and quit wasting time, as they believe they are doing? (Not that I encourage that path...)

  • @cleanhomer Meet Jesus. Then u have no worries.

  • why did they banned this from tv was this because of the little kids??

  • I find it cool how Tom is so appalled by Satan's arrogance and selfishness but can't see the same thing in himself

  • Beautiful and creepy awesome upload!

  • I love how the King roars at the sky in defiance just before he is unceremoniously struck down by indiscriminate death. Poetic. The hovels of the poor and the palaces of Kings indeed....

  • I always thought that the fruits he gave them was a bit odd...

  • satan = santa

  • fame is a vapor, the only earthly certainty is oblivion

  • please tell me what part of this is for kids? i haven't any children but if I did they certainly wouldn't be watching stuff like this

  • @sirenlyfox for my kids, this would be mandatory. haha. No, but I actually miss the old days. I grew up seeing stuff like this and, well now everything way PC and tiptoed around (i mean kids shows). It's nice to have your intelligence respected when your young. Also claymation is beautiful. It's such a lost art nowadays.

  • @sirenlyfox Oh don´t wory, I´m sure they would probably watch some REALLY inapropiate stuff in the internet while you´re not watching.

Today´s kids lose their innocence from a very tender age... in fact, I think this is the kind of stuff many kids (from at least 10 and up) should watch instead of Happy Tree Friends and shit like that. And yes, they do watch HTF... and laugh. It´s kinda sad in my opinion.

  • hmmm im si mply amazed at this show, i would have never come up with some of the remarkable imagery in all of this, and in my opinion, while Sin ( the angel) while cold and logical lets his hatred rule over himself, he seems to feel nothing except a cold version of emotions, when he is happy or likes something he calls it "interest" and yet while he is "interested" He is still more inclined to take that life away than spare it and teach it, and to him we truly are of no consiquence, only thought

  • Maybe the reason Satan hates mankind is because he feels we are underserving of life. I mean think about it, here we are with life and we abuse it by cutting down the rainforests, littering and polluting. And not to mention the greedy, corrupt members of the governemnt, the lying politics and false, uncaring corperate puppets.

  • @bluethunder25

That would make the Devil........God, wouldn't it?

  • @brightlights456X What do you mean?

  • @bluethunder25

What you described is what God constantly does in the bilbe. Punish those that are seen as un deserving.

  • You never know. In the bible there are two kinds of references to who they call 'the morning star' one is Satan and I believe that reference is in the old testament if I recall correctly, but the other, in revelations... is Jesus. Anyhoo, in 'the mysterious stranger', witch is the story that this sketch comes from Satan talks about what he calls the moral sense. He says it makes man believe that they're above beasts but that really, they're the worst beasts of all... in so many words...

  • @brightlights456X ...and Satan does the same when they are sent to hell. Some parallels are certainly visible.

  • @brightlights456X Are they really that far removed? Are we even sure they aren't the same thing? There's a good possibility that they're mere figments of our imagination anyway; a means by which to rationalize and moralize our own behaviors. Why can't God and Satan be two sides of the same being? Yin and Yang? Or we could go Nietzschean and claim an absence or irrelevance of both and deny morality altogether. And in the end, if there is such a thing, of what matter is any of it anyway?

  • @brightlights456X I respectfully disagree, see God is not a being, but a spirit, therefore God is all that is not human and asks us to be like him and rewards us accordingly, our human nature is greed and apathy and therefore worthless and useless much like Satan discribes. So why God made us that way is because of the challenge of life and the wonder of nature and Satan hates that we can be more then worthless animals and therefore hates us.

Its logical to me that way anyhow.

  • @fromdaghettowithlove Though I somewhat disagree with your sentiment, that is a very thoughtful and intelligent statement that seems to be quite uncommon. See people, not all religious people are blind puppets to some guy in white robes. We are all human here. We can think and philosophize too.

  • @fromdaghettowithlove Logical means you disbelieve in a higher deity. Bar none.

  • @zacktillery No, I believe in science and logic, Christianity makes perfect sense

  • @fromdaghettowithlove Those are counter productive, and do not share the same core beliefs.

  • @zacktillery As usual, you offer opinion but no statement, I say first law of Thermodynamics, what can you say to that.

  • @fromdaghettowithlove I don't know what it is, so i'm not going to google it. However, i'll counter your counter, which will be, that if i don't even know anything about science, how can i argue against it? Simple, the same way you follow without knowing the Bible, or whatever religious book you read. I am sure i can outskill you whatever that religion is.

  • @fromdaghettowithlove God isn't real you fool satan is our true savior

  • @brightlights456X BTW thanks for uploading, I think that morals in this cartoon are what children should be taught instead of the stupid shit from disney personally.

  • @brightlights456X It's quite comparable to the story of Maldoror. The story deals with nihilistic concepts. Maldoror is a personified metaphor of pure evil and immorality, at the climax it turns into an octopus so wide it strangles God to death and in his dying screams, releases vipers that fall to Earth, which gives the allusions to the Adam & Eve story. You should also check out this short horror/experimental film called Begotten, it's incredible.

  • @brightlights456X Well you have to remember that the devil basicly wanted tghe same or more power as god. So I guess that he basicly feels the same as god.

  • @bluethunder25 We're also the ones who elect the corrupt through our laziness & defeatist attitudes of thinking of only a two-party-system. Also to blame are those so-called noble people who'd rather not run for office cuz they're worried it'll corrupt them! Ahh, it'll dirty their pretty, little nobleness... COWARDICE is what I'd call it! Soldiers will go through hell to win the battle, fire fighters will face an inferno to put it out, but the "NOBLE" are afraid to get their hands dirty.

  • haha

    the ginger wants orange

    the girl wants apples (irony!)

and the other one, with the drunken dad, grapes.

  • @henburger

You're the only one who seem to have nocticed that. You're smart. Not trying to be patronising or condescending.

  • @henburger

    okay, i give.

    What does that symbolize?

  • @JournaloftheWiccan What he's saying is that the one with orange hair wants oranges, the one who is a girl like Eve in the Garden of Eden (who ate the forbidden fruit, usually depicted as an apple) wants apples, and Huckleberry Finn's wants grapes when his Dad is a drunkard (wine is made from grapes). Basically, the fruit they asked for is apt to who they are.

  • @Burbridge92

    oh okay! thank you!

  • @JournaloftheWiccan the one with red hair wants a fruit thats the same colour as his hair.

the girl wants apples which is ironic as it is reminiscent or original sin (EVe biting into the forbidden fruit).

and the last one is ironic as the boy with the drunken dad chooses grapes, which are what wine is made form.

  • @henburger

yeah i noticed that. i think that this movie is too deep for most children and adults have to pay attention. i actually like this film

  • @WonderWomanFan4life now I'm beginning to understand why it was banned from TV.

  • @RascalCoyote

yeah but some of the stuff out there right now is pretty bad they may not say such stuff but they definitely show it. this was really a creepy show. lol

  • I Love this.

  • It's so very dark. and notice how he is wearing black, so it's mark twain's evil half. when he's the good side, he's wearing white.

  • is it just me or was twain hiding from satan behind the elevator wall?

  • this is creepy...

btw what's the name of the song that he plays at 7:00 ?

  • What is Injun Joe? What's the story?

  • @LCMScorpio412 "Injun Joe" (Injun meaning Indian, if you can't guess) is a character from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. He is half Native American and half Caucasian, and is the main antagonist in the novel. He murders at the beginning of the book as revenge and is seen as a cold-hearted, unchanging character; and is known to evoke no pity out of the reader.

He starves to death in a cave at the end of the book :P

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that plays at around 7:00? I've been trying to find this out for a while.

  • well, now i see why it was banned. that mysterious stranger was fucking creepy O_O

  • I want to play Populous now. XD

This movie brings out some philosophies. Here's mine...

The one true certainty is ALL life will leave a memory behind, but what will the life story tell?

  • is that what really happens in injun joe?

  • i pissed my pants

  • It's about as disturbing as muddy shoes. If you find this disturbing then your too young to watch it. And Too young to opperate a computer keyboard coming to think of it.

  • @kezadrone If you DON'T find this disturbing, you are too young to comprehend it.

    Just saying.

  • @Frojoemorrison I'm 33.

  • did you skip some i watched part 3(part 2) then it goes to mysterious stranger did you miss a few seconds

  • From what I've heard Christians explain that, Demons are rebelled Angels of the Lord.

  • @REEFSthaGEEK Very nice. but he looks like he snorted one to many lines though.

  • yeah,

    ..realistic... my god your satan,

    your reality, my fairtytales,

    my reality, someones nightmares,

what is true, what if fiction is written by the victor, and since organized religion has been at war for 2000+ years, and they controlled society...who is to say your not all brainwashed to fallow a systematic belief of control and ignorence

  • and whos to say that your not just some schitzo convinced that everybody else is wrong

  • Wtf Mark Twain had an effed up perspective on reality

He's really optimistic about life! Sushine and Daisies everywhere!!

  • Most Blasphemous line ever:

    NOW WE'LL GIVE THEM LIFE.

    :O !

  • i understand why it got banned now

  • i was born in 1998 i dont think this was on tv when i was "young" lol

  • Disturbing and thought-provoking; perfect fodder for a kids movie...

  • The scary part is tht I realize now that this isn't satanic,

    It's realistic.

  • Comment removed

  • hahah.what kind of fruits do you like the most

  • You don't make something greedy, then destroy them for being greedy.

  • @Ozzy0sbourne He didn't "make" them greedy. He just made them behave like regular humans....It was saying all humans are greedy. Which is very true.

  • @TheKrigherre thats not true =/ to say all humans are greedy is stupid you cannot say for certain that all humans are greedy

  • @SilverSteinDude01 All human's are imperfect, and inherently selfish, it's animal behaviour. The point is none of us are perfect and if the bible is correct, God made us that way, and yet still punishes us for the problems which he created.

  • @TheKrigherre Which is the point, he made them imperfect and then punished them for their imperfections, just like God does in the bible. Which is what I think Ozzy0sbourne was trying to state.

  • @Ozzy0sbourne According to Christianity, God does. In the Devil's Advocate (movie), the Devil explains that he opposed God because he believes God to be a manipulating, insane, sick fuck, who makes people, instills in them desires, and then punishes them for those desires. Can't really argue with that.

  • @Ozzy0sbourne i guess but sometimes it happens, just thik about it, imagine you create something as greedy as humanity, then you realize you made a mistake, or you just simply get anoied by them and then you just crush them

  • The animation is fantastic

  • Comment removed

  • I say your a douche for saying that even thou i am a atheist

  • @ulmwarrior

    Fair enough.

I must have been in a bad mood to say something that immature and disrespectful.

  • Thanks for fucking skipping the rest of the Adam and Eve scene, I guess I'll have to look elsewhere.

  • I do have it. It's in part 3 (part2)

  • i like the song

  • Welcome to the Damned human race! XD

  • you do realise satan was invented a few hundred years after the bible was written... and that he was taken form judisim right?

  • jews believed in satan so if the gospel came after the torah n is carrying on what the jews believed in how can it be invented after?

  • actually, satan is in the bible, so he couldnt have been invented a few hundred yours after the bible

  • well technicly the only way to know is to die... if we die we will go to hell if we go to hell we shal know who is the lord down there but if we go to heaven we will know who thelord up there is even if its god jesus buhda satan whoever up in heaven the lord in heaven no matter who it is thats the lord i worship

  • Nice comment , But what does it have to be a lord ?

  • because if its the "king" of a certain place we usually call him/her a lord like on video games and some cartoons and movies you know? but you dont really have to call him/her i dont think lol im not really sure

  • you know everything

  • its creepy where thy're standing on

  • ok this is disturbing what does this part meant?

  • The first 5 minutes explains the "truth" of life, because in the end (Death) nothing really matters.

  • so the devil wants them to know that life is nothing... well... thats his job of ruining us! Belive God Amen

  • Yes, we should belive in god because he sounds cooler then that mean old satan.

  • I don't get the part about INJUN JOE.... can someone explain?

  • Villian from Tom Sawyer.

  • @thelastgoodbye13 In "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", Injun Joe was the primary villain. He died in a cave after accidentally getting locked down there, he had caught and eaten some bats but starved to death before he was found. Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn thwarted his plans. Hence the madman with the knife trying to kill them.

  • very deep and philosophical this should be the standard for all child cartoons

  • unfortunately, instead of setting standards, it was canceled at light speed....

  • I'd but this DVD just because of this part

  • i wish i could have the organ song on mp3 or something... it's so great...

i really like how it makes think...

    about life and .. everything

  • "Life itself is only a vision, a dream. Nothing exists save(?) empty space and you, and you are but a thought"

This is fu*kin awesome...I wish I could have seen this when I was a kid.

  • I love that part..and U R nothing but a thought..that iz sick hard to belive its a childs cartoon

  • this is the only reason the show was born cause of this sean

  • woooops i made a mistake with this i had meant to say is the show was banned only because of this seen not born woops

  • The thing is that once the angel was name Satan. Everybody saw only as that. Satan, bad, evil, wrong. That is how we brought to believe. Now when your really hear what he says. There is nothing morbid about it just the truth.

Quite intelligent and tests the mind.

"Life itself is only a vision, a dream nothing exists and empty space. And you, and you are but a thought"

  • Nicely posted. :-)

Truthfully, I haven't seen all of the film, but as for that part of it, I do believe the mold for Satan could realistically fit any god, good or evil.

Perhaps there is more truth than we realize in the fact that only the living will damn our souls, but the divine will save them. ;-)

  • see satan isnt such a bad guy

  • hes selfish cause all he wants is to be stronger and more powerful than god

  • oo shut the fuck up. Dont preach to me

  • O_o!! Okay, ya... wow... freaky is right!
