I was shocked at the admission price to Butchart Gardens, even when many plants are not yet in bloom. They also over fill the place with bus loads of people, making it impossible to walk around. I would never go back there.

Try "Glendale Gardens" on the Pat Bay highway towards the ferry Its MUCH LOWER ADMISSION than Butchart. Run by volunteers.
I posted a movie here. It was springtime, not much in bloom, BUT its very pretty.
Dont let a prayer in the first 10 seconds put you off...lol. It represents how tranquil I felt when there. AND not many people either - its one of THE most perfect places to meditate and feel closer to the Creator or just to chill out!

wow its changed a lot, it still has that amazing family feel but it is much more beautiful now.
i went on a saturday last july and they have an amazing fireworks display from July till September!
a must see!
